IN PHOTOS | On 25 June 2024, Combat Support Brigade and sub-units personnel led by LT COL MARIA ROWENA A MUYUELA PN(M), Commanding Officer, Assault Armor Battalion visited Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University. They were warmly received by the university's management team, Dr Roy Valesco, VP for Academic Affairs who represented the University President Nelson Cabral. The visit is to explore the latest technologies and courses being offered by the university which are vital to the skill sets of Combat Support Brigade sub units personnel. Likewise, during the visit, the management expressed a strong commitment and collaboration for future undertakings. Moreover, the CSB personnel gained valuable insights into the university's technological capabilities and future plans. Overall, the visit fostered mutual understanding and collaboration.
JUST IN | The Marine School of Armor conducted closing ceremony of Armor Defensive Driving Refresher Training with LT COL MARIA ROWENA A MUYUELA PN(M), Commanding Officer, AABn as Presiding Officer via VTC. The training emphasizes situational awareness, hazard anticipation, and proactive driving techniques to minimize risks. Furthermore, students review critical skills such as emergency maneuvers and vehicle control in various conditions. Ultimately, the goal of the training is to enhance operational safety and efficiency while reducing the likelihood of accidents.
LOOK | Students of Armor Defensive Driving Refresher Training conducted practicals in driving Light Armor Vehicles, focusing on hand signals and confidence driving. They practiced maneuvering these vehicles to learn safe driving habits and upgrade the Marine Corps combat readiness. Likewise, this training will bolster their driving confidence and communication skills in real-world scenarios.

IN PHOTOS| On June 18, 2024 , Marine School of Armor convened the Defensive Driving Refresher Training Class Nr 03 with LT COL MARIA ROWENA A MUYUELA PN(M), Commanding Officer, AABn as Presiding Officer via VTC. The course is a 2 weeks program crucial for enhancing safety, reducing accidents, and preserving lives in high-risk environments while driving the LAVs and AAVs. It ensures drivers maintain proficiency in handling complex vehicles, vital for mission success and operational readiness. Furthermore, it promotes better vehicle maintenance practices, extending the service life of the vehicles.

IN PHOTOS | On 04 June 2024 - Assault Armor Battalion's Sportfest Leg 2 brought the battalion together for a thrilling basketball showdown with LT COL RICHARD CORDERO PN(M), Commanding Officer, SSBN as Guest of Honor. With a competitive spirit, Marines battled it out on the court, displaying their athleticism and teamwork. Spectators cheered enthusiastically, adding to the electrifying atmosphere of the event. The basketball game served as a platform for camaraderie and unity among the members of the battalion.
IN PHOTOS | From 10 April to 29 May 2024, Assault Armor Battalion made history with its inaugural of the Battalion's First Hybrid Medical Consultation and Minor Surgical Operation through the stakeholders from Taguig City Health Volunteer Doctors and Crystal Clear Vision Zamboanga, blending virtual technology with on-site care. Using a virtual application, medical professionals provided expert advice and diagnosis to the personnel of AABN. Meanwhile, at HABBN, MBAA, Brgy Cabatangan, Zamboanga City, Minor surgical operations, OB Gyne, Circumcision, Ophthalmology consultation with limited free eyeglasses and medical consultations were carried out, ensuring comprehensive medical support. This innovative approach exemplifies the battalion's commitment to accessible healthcare for all marine personnel and dependents of the battalion. Likewise, the medical assistance were extended to other personnel of CSB, MBAA, SSBN, FABN and including civilians within the community during the culminatiom on 29 May 2024.
IN PHOTOS| On 13 June 2024 - The Marine School of Armor convened the Marine Basic Assault Armor Course (MBAAC) CL-02 with COL BOB R APOSTOL PN(M)(MNSA), Superintendent, Marine Corps Force Development Center represented by LTCOL RONNEL R ALMAZAN PROF (GSC). The course is a 14 weeks program that aims to equip the students with the fundamental skills and knowledge necessary for handling the LAVs and AAVs of the Marine Corps. It covers a range of topics to ensure that participants are well-prepared for operational deployment.
On 17-22 May 2024 PMC Light Armor Units took part in the Archipelagic Coastal Defense Continuum (ACDC). A combined exercise between the US and PH Marines in a realistic simulation of joint ACD concept. The exercise emphasized the strategic role of armored mobility in protecting archipelagic and coastal regions. Their involvement showcased the readiness and adaptability of the units in diverse and challenging environments.

On 24 May 2024, The Marine School of Armor under the Marine Corps Force Development Center conducted the Graduation Exercises of the Wheeled Armor Vehicle Maintenance Course (WAVMC) Class-18 at the 50Mtr MCFDC Firing Range Shaded Area, MBRB, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City. The activity was graced by the presence of BGEN RODYER B DELA PEÑA PN(M), Deputy Commander, Naval Installation Command as Guest of Honor and Speaker. The class convened last 28 December 2023 and is composed of 20 Enlisted Personnel.
The course is designed to provide students as Light Armor Vehicle (LAV) Technician with a well-rounded knowledge and skills on LAV Repair and Maintenance. It includes classroom instructions and practical exercises on principles of repair and maintenance of LAVs.

1 May 2024 || 52nd ARMOR DAY. The Assault Armor Battalion celebrates its 52nd Anniversary with the theme: Iron Unity: Forged in TEAM. The occassion was graced by the Deputy Commandant, PMC BGEN ROMEO T RACADIO PN(M) as Guest of Honor and participated by the internal and external stakeholders. 🎉 Likewise, the event commenced from the uplifting Ecumenical Mass to an Awarding Ceremony, honoring our outstanding personnel and stakeholders and followed by a Fellowship Night – packed with entertainment, surprises, and endless camaraderie! A celebration of relevance to the Corps and tribute to the past, appreciation of the present and future of the battalion! 💪🏼🌟

LTCOL MARIA ROWENA A MUYUELA PN(M), CO, AABN , made a visit to the troops of Assault Armor Battalion in the Operational Area, engaging in dialogue and boosting morale among the Marines. Commanding Officer Inspires troops to Excel through Technical Proficiency, Equipment Readiness, Adaptability, and Motivation. With words of encouragement and strategic guidance, the visit served to fortify the unit's resolve and cohesion amidst their mission.
The Assault Armor Battalion organized Sportfest in connection with the Armor Day Celebration, igniting TEAM spirit and fostering camaraderie among its members through a series of competitive events. From intense tug of war to a lively basketball match, the battalion showcased both athleticism and unity in a memorable display of strength and cooperation.
Amidst the clanking of armor and camaraderie in the air, Assault Armor Battalion warmly embraces the newly assigned personnel, integrating them into the unit's tight-knit family with open arms and seasoned expertise. Together, they stand ready to uphold the battalion's legacy and excel in their shared mission with unwavering determination. LOOK|| Newly installed CO, AABn paid a courtesy call to Hon. Mayor John Dalipe last 12 March 2024 to show support to the city mayor’s efforts on matter of peace and security within the locality. The city mayor welcomed and acknowledged TEAM Lakas Loob during the said visit.
LOOK||The newly installed Commanding Officer of Assault Armor Battalion, LTCOL MARIA ROWENA A MUYUELA PN(M) made a troop visit and talked to troops to ensure that the morale and welfare of every personnel are taking cared of and it's function are clearly understood in support to the Brigade's mission.
Likewise, she inspected the Light Armor Assets of the units to ensure its 100% operational readiness in support to Marine Operating Forces.
The Philippine Navy mourns the passing of the Naval Inspector General, Major General Jonas Lumawag PN(M), on March 15.
