In line with the Implementation of DepEd's 236,000 Trees- A christmas gift for the Children, Talabaan Elementary School joined in a simultaneous Tree Planting spearheaded by the School Principal Benedict P. Magnaye together with the SELG Adviser, SIGA Coordinator Wilsel V. Gagaracruz, SIGA Officers and SELG Officers. 5 seedlings were given by CENRO- Zamboanga.

.. Talabaan Elementary School joined in the celebration of Women's Month. Women's Month is an annual event celebrated during the month of March that honors the achievements and contributions of women in various fields such as politics, science, business, education, art, and culture. The celebration aims to promote gender equality and women's empowerment, raise awareness of women's rights, and recognize the challenges that women still face today.

School GAD Coordinator Maam Rosemarie T. Castillo ellaborated the activities to be done in the celebration of the Women's Month during Flag Raising Ceremony on March 6, 2023. 100% Attendance of the Talabaan Pupils are highly appreciated.

.. Talabaan ES SPG Officers conducted a tree planting with the strong partnership of the YES-O Coordinator Nerissa P. Lambo, Officers, and the presence of the School Principal Sir Benedict P. Magnaye on February 28, 2023. The purpose of tree planting is multifaceted. Trees play a vital role in mitigating climate change by absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and releasing oxygen during photosynthesis. They also help to reduce the effects of air pollution by trapping pollutants in their leaves and bark. Specifically, Neem trees have been used for centuries for their medicinal properties. The tree's bark, leaves, and seeds are used in traditional medicine to treat various ailments, such as fever, inflammation, and skin disorders. Additionally, neem trees are known for their insecticidal properties, making them a natural pest control option.

Overall, the planting of neem trees by the SPG and YES-O officers is a commendable step towards promoting sustainable practices and preserving the environment. Thank You so much Sir P/Brig. General Rex A. Miravite for donating Neem Trees to Talabaan Elementary School.
