SSC Distributes Wall Fans to Colleges for School Year 2024-2025.

The Supreme Student Council (SSC) has successfully distributed five wall fans to each college, including the EPDU extensions as phase 1 of the said project, as part of their initiative to enhance the learning environment for the school year 2024-2025.

This project aims to provide a more comfortable atmosphere for students, contributing to their overall well-being and academic success. The SSC remains committed to supporting students in their educational journey.

ZPPSU steps-up in research productivity, publications

Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University emerged in 2nd spot in the latest ranking numbers of the AD Scientific Index 2024 in research productivity among other esteemed State Universities and Colleges in Zamboanga City.

With the dedicated and identified researchers of the campus, ZPPSU secured the 103rd spot in research capabilities and scientific innovations nationwide. Thus, this achievement underscores the improvement of the thriving university in publication, citations, and high index.

To note, the AD Scientific Index, developed by Prof. Dr. Murat Alper and Associate Prof. Dr. Cihan Döğer, offers a comprehensive evaluation of scientific output based on Google Scholar metrics. Using nine parameters, including the h-index, i10 index, and citation scores, the index provides a nuanced view of individual and institutional academic performance.

The nine identified notable research scientists of ZPPSU were the following:

The Office of Students Affairs and Services, along with the Supreme Student Council, successfully organized a three-day Leadership Congress that brought together various school organizations and extensions.

The three-day event concluded with a heartwarming team-building finale, wherein student leaders, setting aside their usual roles, relished the rare opportunity to bond and connect with peers from various organization to enjoy each other's company, It was a meaningful experience that fostered unity and collaboration among student leaders from different backgrounds.

This monumental event stands as a testament to the indomitable spirit of leadership, the power of collaboration, and the beauty of shared experiences. Through this congress, our student leaders have not only enriched their own journeys but have also illuminated a path of collective growth and solidarity for our entire community.

Navigating Progress: SSC National and Local Officers convened at the Second General Meeting, Delving into College Concerns, Unveiling ZPPSU Fiesta Plans, and Presenting the Future Plans of SSC Projects. on March 09, 2024 at the Supreme Student Council Office.

The general meeting proved to have a fruitful and successful outcome as every officer actively participated, fostering a unanimous agreement and contributing to a profoundly meaningful discussion. The collective engagement showcased the commitment of all officers, culminating in a meeting that does not only achieve the objectives of the different organizations but also strengthened their collaborative spirit to serve more and do more!

The Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University (ZPPSU) Students arrived with eager anticipation who's ready to embark in an enriching journey as they delved into the realm of tourism at the "Sustainable Tourism: Challenges and Opportunities" seminar. Hosted by the tourism office of Zamboanga, the event took place on February 23, 2024, at the prestigious Garden Orchid Hotel, City of Zamboanga

Ariba, ZPPSU Tigers!

Hats off to the Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University (ZPPSU) Senior High School (SHS) for placing third in the 87th Dia de la Ciudad de Zamboanga Cheerdance Competition, held on the 21st day of February 2024, at the City Coliseum, Barangay Tetuan, Zamboanga City.

The Cheerdance Competition has two categories: High school category and Open category. Three schools competed in High school category: ZPPSU Tigers, Unibersidad de Zamboanga Baby Wild Cats, and Don Pablo Lorenzo Memorial High School Blue Lions, while in the open category, four contenders have competed: Western Mindanao State University Alumni Hawks Pep Squad, Unibersidad de Zamboanga Barons Cheer Squad, Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences, Technology Sharks Pep Squad, and Western Mindanao State University Crimson Hawks Pep Squad.

The glory has favored UZ-BWC, who landed on top in the High school category, followed by the DPLMHS Blue Lions, then the ZPPSU Tigers, while the ZSCMST Sharks Pep Squad placed first in the Open category, followed by the UZ Barons Cheeer Squad, next WMSU Alumni Hawks Pep Squad, then WMSU Crimson Hawks Pep Squad.

The City Mayor, John Dalipe, was also present in the said event.

The Induction was held on February 20, 2024 at the City Hall, Conference Room, led by the Zamboanga City Youth Development Officer, Gio G. Perez, and was attended by all 14 Student Council Presidents/Representatives from various tertiary schools in the City.
