IN SPIRITU ET VERITATE | With great joy and thanksgiving to God, The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Zamboanga welcomes His Excellency the Most Reverend Julius Sullan Tonel, D.D., appointed by the Holy Father, Pope Francis, as the 7th Metropolitan Archbishop of Zamboanga.

The Rite of Liturgical Reception and Canonical Possession will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, Feast of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Archbishop-Designate Julius Tonel will be formally installed by His Eminence Jose Cardinal Advincula, Archbishop of Manila at the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, La Purisima Street, Zamboanga City.
The celebration will be live-streamed online on various pages, enabling a broader audience to share on this occasion.
