All Boards of Punjab have decided to partially change the examination procedure for the year 2022 and onwards. In 2022, the paper will be divided into three parts.

The first part will consist of knowledge-based questions, making up 80% of the total paper, from which 8 out of 10 questions will be knowledge-based.

The second part will consist of application-based questions, which will make up 10% of the total paper. These questions will be based on real-life examples depending on the nature of the chapter or topic. There is also a possibility that these questions will be unseen.

The third part will consist of Understanding-Based Questions. There will be 10 questions in this paper, from which 1 out of every 10 questions will be of this type. The purpose of these questions is to assess the level of understanding of the candidate. This question can be a short question or an objective question.

It should be noted that the paper pattern of the board is the same, only the difficulty level will be increased from three questions to five. There will also be a time constraint, however, the rest of the paper will be based on the previous design. If the SLO is followed thoroughly for preparation, then 100% marks can be obtained in the paper.

The period for the ninth and tenth papers have been prepared by the board while the process of making intermediate papers is in progress which will be finalized in March.
