On Thursday , 26th October , 2023 ; IEEE (EMBS) UCET IUB systemized an event titled *"Biotender Innovations : Navigating. Biomedical Opportunities"* counseled by *Haider Aman Khan* who is the branch manager of Meditec Instruments Co. Lahore, Pakistan.
He is connoisseur in the field of biomedical engineering and technology and guided all the attendees by giving the reference of his own company.
He shared his experience and proficiency to motivate all the students.

The edifying session was also presided over by *Dr. Fayyaz Qamar* , Principal UVAS JHANG. His motivating speech inspired the attendees and had a great influence on them.
He expounded that how all disciplinary subjects are inter-related and how much prompting effect they cause.

The didactic session came to its illuminating conclusion by the words of advisor IEEE EMBS UCET Islamia University of Bahawalpur Dr. khattak who addressed students of biomedical engineering and technology.

It was a great effort by the team IEEE EMBS UCET IUB for conducting such an informative and successful session for the students who were lacking the scope and basics of biomedical engineering and technology.

IEEE EMBS UCET IUB organized a didactic and informative Event for *International Prevention* *Infection Day* held on 18th October, 2023.

The Event was led by one of the top MBBS Doctor *Dr.* *Asad Aslam* acclaimed guest speaker who is currently working as Medical Officer and providing care services to address various health concerns Bahawal Victoria Hospital. He conversed about various preventive measures which should be taken during the spread of an infections agent.

The event was concluded by several Health Activation Fun activities which engaged the audience. It was a great effort by team * IEEE EMBS * * UCET IUB* to conduct such a Successful event about Infection Prevention as it is the need of hour.

Hajj Mubarak to all Muslims❤️!

Undertaking Hajj is an Islamic and Spiritual duty – it is the fifth pillar in Islam. In the Holy Qur'an, Allah (SWT) commands Muslims to visit Makkah and complete it as part of their faith at least once in their lifetime – in fact, there's a whole Surah (chapter) in the Qur'an named after it!

In calling Muslims to perform the hajj, the Quran says, “Proclaim to men the pilgrimage: they will come to thee on foot and on every lean camel, coming from every remote path.” The rites of the hajj are believed to retrace events from the lives of prominent prophets such as Ibrahim and Ismail.

*IEEE EMBS UCET IUB* is Celebrating World Brain Tumor Day 2023.

" *PROTECT YOURSELF -KEEP AWAY FROM STRESS "*

A brain tumor, known as an intracranial tumor, is an abnormal mass of tissue in which cells grow and multiply uncontrollably, seemingly unchecked by the mechanisms that control normal cells.

As most of the brain tumor initially present with very nonspecific complaints, early diagnosis by neurosurgeon or neuro physician helps plan further management in initial stages of the disease. Diagnosis is aided by imaging modalities like CT scan or MRI. Treatment of brain tumor includes maximal safe surgical resection. In some cases of malignant tumors, radiotherapy and oral chemotherapy are administered.

We must come together as a global community to support the development of new treatments and therapies, and to work towards a cure for this terrible illness. We must also prioritize the needs of those who are currently battling brain tumors, and ensure that they have access to the care and support they need.

As the month of Ramadan comes to an end, Muslims from around the world prepare for Eid al-Fitr, the “festival of breaking the fast".
The festival is an occasion for the Muslims to reward themselves after a month of abstinence and devotion to Allah (SWT). This celebration comprises of spending time with loved ones whilst feasting on the food that Allah (SWT) has provided.
On this joyous occasion, EMBS Family sends their greetings to the entire Muslim community. May Allah bring joy, happiness, peace, success and prosperity on this blessed occasion. May the magic of Eid bring lots of happiness and fill your life with sweetness. (And may you get loads of Eidi. 😄)

International Childhood Cancer Day is observed on February 15 every year and all over the world. The day raises awareness of childhood cancer and honors all the children and families experiencing the effects of the disease. It acknowledges their pain and difficulties, giving them space to process and grieve.

World Cancer Day is an international day marked on 4 February to raise awareness of cancer and to encourage its prevention, detection, and treatment. World Cancer Day is led by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) to support the goals of the World Cancer Declaration.
World Cancer Day aims to prevent millions of deaths each year by raising awareness and education about cancer, and pressing governments and individuals across the world to take action against the disease.
This year's theme marks the second year of the campaign “close the care gap” which is about understanding the inequities in cancer care and taking actions to make the necessary progress to address them.
The Initiative has two primary objectives: Increase the capacity of countries to provide quality information and services for children with cancer, and. Increase prioritization of childhood cancer at the global and national levels.
