Blood donation day is a noble event organized every year at Lawrence College with an objective of promoting the spirit of altruism, social responsibility and saving lives. This year blood donation day was organized on the 7th of November 2023 in collaboration with PRCS (Pakistan Red Cresent Society) at Senior School Gymnasium Hall. This annual event serves as a platform for students, teachers and other staff of the college to contribute to the well-being of community by donating blood. The act of donating blood is not only a selfless gesture but also a powerful way to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need.

Blood is an invaluable resource that cannot be manufactured or synthesized, making voluntary blood donation a crucial component of healthcare systems worldwide and more so in Pakistan. Donated blood plays a pivotal role in various medical treatments, surgeries, and emergencies, including accidents and illnesses like cancer, anemia, and thalassemia. The simple act of donating blood can save lives and make a tangible difference in the lives of countless individuals. This year our students, teachers and staff generously donated 140 bags of blood for the community.

Blood Donation Day at LCGG is not only a one-day event but a tradition that continues to grow in importance each year. It is a reminder of the significance of giving back to society and helping those in need. Through this initiative, our school promotes the values of empathy, compassion, and social responsibility, instilling in our students the understanding that small acts of kindness can have a tremendous impact on the lives of others. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the basketball court came alive. Initially, Gallians took the lead, but Aitchisonians staged a remarkable comeback, winning the game with a final score of 30 to 29, leaving fans in awe of their tenacity.
The following day witnessed the 200-meter race, where Muhammed Saddique from Lawrence College broke the deadlock, displaying an impressive burst of speed. Cricket, an Aitchisonians' forte, followed suit, with Gallians setting a target of 117 runs, only to see it comfortably chased down by the Aitchison College team in 13 overs.
In the 800-meter and 4ร—100-meter relay races, Gallians showcased their athletic prowess by securing victory in both events. Muhammed Saddique and Saif Ullah Achakzai claimed the top spots in the 800 meters, while the relay team from Lawrence College, comprising Muhammad Saddique, Taha Nawaz, Abdullah Sohail, and Abdul Qadir, clinched first place.
A memorable formal dinner brought both teams, faculty, heads of schools, and the Principal of Lawrence College together in an atmosphere of camaraderie. In a remarkable display of gratitude and unity, the hallowed halls of Lawrence College bore witness to an extraordinary Thanksgiving Lunch on the 1st of November, 2023. This grand event was a profound gesture, a testament to our appreciation for the dedicated support staff.
The event was organized by the Intermediate Class under the guidance of the Vice Principal/Headmaster and the Housemasters. The lunch was held in the Senior School Hall.
Present on the occasion, were the Senior School janitors, peons, gardeners, mess and dormitory attendants, sanitary caretakers, runners, drivers, security sentinels, and all the unheralded attendants who toil tirelessly to create an environment conducive to learning.
Our principal graced the occasion with his presence. His personal attention to the comfort and well-being of our cherished support staff was a testament to his visionary leadership and commitment to fostering an inclusive and harmonious atmosphere within our institution.
The students of the Inter 2023-24 class, along with prefects, undertook the noble task of serving the support staff with warm smiles and an empathetic attitude. Their actions breathed life into the principal's philosophy of humanism and goodwill, turning it into an inspiring reality.
This momentous day left an indelible mark on our support staff, filling their hearts with joy, respect, and a sense of fulfilment that remains an unfulfilled dream for many underprivileged workers across the globe.
The support staff were treated to a symphony of flavours - an experience of fine cuisine and delectable desserts. In a touching moment, our principal expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the junior staff for their unwavering dedication and expressed hope for their continued commitment in the years to come.
Through this historic ceremony, our principal imparted a profound lesson to our students - the importance of noble human values that seamlessly align with our Islamic heritage. He demonstrated that our administrative approach transcends convention, embracing inclusivity and fostering a natural sense of community. Education at Lawrence College is not a privilege for the select few; it extends its benevolent arms to train and nurture all who contribute to our educational tapestry. This, indeed, is the essence of education that our students will cherish and embody throughout their lives.
