Canada Resettlement Scheme Update

The Afghan citizens resettlement scheme will provide protection for people at risk identified as in need.

The scheme will prioritise:

those who have assisted the Canada efforts in Afghanistan and stood up for values such as democracy, women’s rights, freedom of speech, and rule of law
The government has committed to welcome around 5,000 people in the first year and up to 20,000 over the coming years. We will work with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to identify those we should help. This is in addition to the Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP) scheme, which has already settled thousands of Afghans who have worked with the Canada government, and their families.

‏شورکوٹ کے قبرستان میں ایک کھدائی کے دوران ایک مجسمہ ملا ہے۔ شورکوٹ کے قبرستان سے ملنے والے اِس مجسمہ کے بارےمیں چند بُدھ مت کے پیروکار وں کا کہنا ہے کہ یہ مجسمہ نہیں بلکہ زندہ انسان ہے جس نے خُود کو چند سو سال کے لیے سُلا لیا ہے۔ یہ کسی بھی وقت جاگ سکتا ہے۔ قبر میں ایک جانور کی کھال میں لپٹے اِس مجسمہ کے پاس ایک تحریر لکھا ھوا پرچہ پلاسٹک میں لپٹا ھوا برآمد ہوئی جو کہ قدیم چائنیز زبان میں لکھا ھوا ہے۔ جس کو محکمہ آثار قدیمہ کے کارکنان اور نمائندگان نے اسے پڑھنے اور سمجھنے کے لیئے چائنہ سے ایک وفد بلوایا جس نے یہ تحریر پڑھی اور بتایا
