Sufi Medley 2.0? Yes or No?

The object of this Surah is to make people realize how evil man becomes when he denies the Hereafter, or becomes heedless of it, and also to warn them that in the Hereafter not only their visible and apparent deeds, but even the secrets hidden in their hearts too will be subjected to scrutiny.
It says: “Surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord”. Man, i.e. unregenerate man who forgets or denies the divine guidance and the Prophets’ preachings, and submits himself to his lusts, is surely ungrateful, and grossly selfish to his Lord and Cherisher.

- Al Jumu’ah 62:9

Surah Falaq (سورَةُ الفَلَق), which takes its name from its first verse, meaning daybreak, the other name of it being Mu‘awwadhah (مُعَوَّذَة), meaning seeking refuge, is the 113th chapter of the Quran. God revealed surah Falaq to Prophet Muhammad in Medina. In this surah, God orders His prophet to seek refuge in Him from any evil that exists in this world of His creatures. Moreover, God asks the Prophet to seek refuge in Him from the evil of witches who curse people by blowing on knots, and finally, from the jealous.

Surah Al-Qariah (Arabic text: القارعة) is the 101st chapter of the Qur’an. The surah titled in English means “The Calamity” and it consists of 11 verses.

The theme or lesson behind this Surah is to warn people of the day of Al-Qariah which is one of the names of the day of judgment. The first 5 verses give us a vivid depiction of that day. The next four ayat tells us that for some the scale will tip in their favor because the weight of the good deeds will outweigh the bad and they will be among those protected. In the tafsir of al-Mazhari, they mention an important distinction that we learn good deeds are not counted but weighed meaning it is possible those whose deeds are pure, i.e. made with sincerity and good niyyah (intention) and made in accordance with the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), these deeds would actually weigh heavier than the same number of good deeds made from those with a lesser degree of faith.

THE INSPIRATION: On November 1st, 2022, I went on a hike to the Cave of Thawr (Ghaar e Saur as we call it in Urdu). It was the most difficult yet special and memorable hikes of my life as I was someone who has only climbed the greenest and easiest Margalla Hills in Islamabad, Pakistan. This hike was the complete opposite as it was right under the scorching sun, in the middle of some of the dryest mountains of Makkah, Saudi Arabia. As soon as I reached the top and saw the cave, there was a group of Turkish women reciting this Durood which later became the chorus of this track. I loved it as soon as I heard it and with their permission, I got to record it on my phone and completed it with the help of one of the most talented Urdu lyricists when I came back to Pakistan. It almost feels like this Durood was waiting for me on that mountain and I was sent there to climb those mountains and bring it home. The whole scene still plays in my head like a movie whenever I sing or hear SALLALLAH ALA MUHAMMAD, SALLALLAHU ALAYHE WASALLIM.
Hope you all enjoyed listening to it as much as I enjoyed reciting it.
