First Women Self-Defense Workshop at DUHS turned out to be a splendid day, brimming with young strong girls; actively observing, invested, learning, participating and winning.🎗

Community Service & Sustainability Society of the Institute of Business & Health Management (IBHM), the Green Youth Movement Club along with Sports Directorate of DUHS are collectively endeavoring to put their contribution to the Sustainable Development Goal #03 Good Health and Well-being, SDG #05 Gender Equality, SDG #11 Sustainable Cities and Communities, and SDG # 17- Partnerships for the Goals. As part of the awareness campaign “Pinktober-2022”, this self-defense workshop also symbolizes the mental fight that every female patient goes through.

The significance of workshop is indeed very impactful as it has provided a great opportunity to our female students, faculty & staff to learn self-defense techniques to defend themselves. Certainly, it has also a deep relationship with many other elements such as discipline, team work, fair-play, emotional intelligence and self-control.

The stats and research have never been alarming enough indicating that it’s prime time girls take their safety and protection in their own hands by learning these life skills.

We are grateful to everyone for the overwhelming response and being the part of the workshop. Special gratitude to PMAA Team for pulling off such an effective training session.

This is to inform you that the Institute of Business and Health Management (IBHM), Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) is organizing a “Women’s Self Defense Workshop” with the collaboration the Pakistan Martial Arts Association (PMAA). It is the combined effort by Community Service and Sustainability Society (CSSS) IBHM, Green Youth Movement (GYM) Club, and Sport Directorate DUHS.
As part of the awareness campaign “Pinktober-2022”, this self-defense workshop also symbolizes the mental fight that every female patient goes through.
As part of the Green Youth Movement Club of Dow University Health Sciences drive, the plantation activity will also be held outside the gymnasium.

Without this Registration no one will be able to get training and its certificate too. Last date for Registration is Wednesday 26th October 2022."

With every growing year, the number of breast cancer in women in Pakistan is increasing. Understand your risk ( age factor, diet, weight, family history ) Early detection saves lifes. Eat healthy, exercise and most importantly self examine monthly.

Mr. Atif Murtaza presence was a privilege as he gave students an insightful exposure to his rich experience of years. He discussed personal branding through digital marketing and his viewpoints were well inculcated through real-world examples. He enlightened the class on the significance of personal branding in the modern workplace an essentially must have skill for students.

Community Service and Sustainability Society's project Eidi Toh Banti Hai - 2022 was an initiative to rejuvenate our connections with those who lack facilities to celebrate the event of Eid.

The Eidi distribution was commenced by gifting Eidi Cash to all DUHS Ojha Campus conductors, point drivers and mechanics.

CSSS Team motive was to spread smiles and make an effective use of this event by spreading harmony and unity among all DUHS transportation staff.
