🍊✨ Sharing Moments of Joy at the Children's Market!🎈🌟

Last weekend, we had an incredible opportunity to take our kiddos to a Children’s Market organized by TDF MagnifiScience Centre, where they ran their own stall selling fresh orange juice and other food items. Moreover, one of our kiddo excellent at making bracelets sold her few handmade bracelets. Seeing their faces light up as they interacted with customers, poured juice, and shared smiles was an experience beyond words.

In a world often filled with challenges, moments like these reminds us of the beauty in simple joys and the power of inclusivity. Every purchase made not only supported our little entrepreneurs but also ignited sparks of joy and acceptance in our community.

Occupational therapists use swings in therapy for a variety of reasons such as strength, balance, and coordination.

Swings are also a great tool to address sensory processing as swings provide vestibular (movement) input and some swings also provide proprioceptive (deep pressure) input.

Occupational therapists use different types of swings according to what they are targeting in therapy.

Trapeze swing targets upper body and core strength as a child hangs on to the trapeze bar with their hands and lift their legs up to swing. This swing is also used to provide vestibular input to address sensory processing.

URAAN - ADL Summer Camp’23, a 2 week half-day camp (from Monday to Thursday) for children with neurodevelopmental disabilities.

While our ADL camp was an amazing, life-changing experience for our kiddos, it was stressful for some. At the camp, our kiddos were away from home for the first time to perform daily living activities, they encountered people, activities, and situations with whom they were unfamiliar and find themselves in a position to test the limits of their own skills and abilities.

Our objective was to promote learning life skills, friendships, social interaction with new people and encourage kiddos to feel confident about themselves.

Thursday 20th July, 23 marks the last day of our carefully tailored ADL Summer Camp’23 to meet the needs of our kiddos.
