After introducing the 2024 models of YBR 125 & YBRZ DX, Yamaha Pakistan has now introduced the 2024 YBR125G which also witnessed a price hike of Rs. 18,000 w.e.f December 6, 2023.

Pak Suzuki has yet again decided to observe non-production days for its motorcycle plant from 1-6 December 2023.

As per the company's official notification to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), based on the current level of sales demand and to optimize the inventories of finished goods, the company has decided to keep its production plant closed for the specified period. However, its automobile plant will remain operative.

The government has kept petrol prices unchanged while high-speed diesel prices have been reduced by Rs.7/litre w.e.f 1st December 2023.

The caretaker government has decided to keep the petrol prices unchanged while the high-speed diesel price has been decreased by Rs. 7/litre w.e.f December 1, 2023.

Peugeot Pakistan has DECREASED the price of Peugeot 2008 by Rs. 1 lac for a limited time until December 31, 2023 on full payment bookings.

Earlier, the automaker introduced an installment plan which included 50% down payment and an easy 18-month-based installment plan with 0% interest. The price decrease would accommodate customers booking any of the two variants of Peugeot 2008 with full payment. The offer is not valid for customers opting for monthly installment plan.

Pakistani market is evolving around electric two-wheelers in the recent times as different new and existing players are swiftly introducing their electric two-wheeler lineup in the local market.

Atlas Honda just recently unveiled its first electric scooter 'Benly e' at its Sheikhupura factory marking company's 60 years of operations in the country. However, it will be intially sold to organisations having large fleets of two wheelers which primarily includes food delivery and courier services. Nonetheless, it does indicate that the company has its eyes on the elctric 2-wheeler segment in Pakistan which has started to grow considerably.

Toyota has officially unveiled its 2024 Toyota Hilux Champ pickup truck at a grand event in Thailand.

Toyota Hilux Champ has been introduced in three variants:
🟠2.0L 1TR-FE petrol engine (137hp and 183Nm) 5-speed Manual Transmission
🟠2.7L 2TR-FE petrol engine (166hp and 245Nm) 6-speed Automatic Transmission
🟠2.4L 2GD-FTV turbodiesel engine (148hp and 343Nm) 6-speed Automatic Transmission

Regarding pricing, depending on the variant, it is priced equivalent to the Pakistani rupee starting from PKR 3.6 Million up to PKR 4.6 Million.

The decrease in International oil prices per barrel indicates that the petroleum prices in Pakistan may also witness a reduction in the upcoming fortnightly revision from December 1, 2023.

The current price of petrol is Rs. 281.34/litre which may go down by Rs. 7/litre while the price of high-speed diesel may also reduce by the same amount which currently stands at Rs. 296.71/litre.

The official announcement will be made on November 30, 2023, after approval from the caretaker Prime Minister.

Lucky Motor Corporation Limited (LMCL) has introduced 02 new features in the existing Automatic variant of the KIA Picanto in Pakistan.

The new features include:

Note here that the 9" touchscreen was previously offered as an optional feature in Picanto which has now been made standard for the Automatic variant.

Yamaha Pakistan has introduced the 2024 YBR 125 and it also gets a new color 'Metallic Bluish Gray'. For the new mode, the company has also announced a price hike of Rs. 17,000/- w.e.f November 16, 2023.

The existing colors include Vivid Cocktail Red, Metallic Black, and Blue. However, the blue color has been taken off from the YBR 125 lineup.

YBR 125 was previously priced at Rs. 435,500/- but the revision in price on the back of the new model means that it will now cost Rs. 452,500/- in Pakistan. It is worth mentioning here that the top model YBR 125G is currently priced at Rs. 453,000/- (just Rs.500 more than YBR 125).

Motorcycle/3-wheeler sales decreased by 10.9% in October 2023 on a year-over-year basis.

The motorcycle manufacturers in Pakistan posted a significant decline in this period as compared to its corresponding period last year. Atlas Honda's sales dropped by 5.4% while United Motorcycles posted a 31.5% decline in sales. Similarly, Yamaha Pakistan and Pak Suzuki also witnessed a slump in sales by 39.6% and 65.4% respectively.

Toyota IMC is planning to introduce its first locally assembled hybrid car in Pakistan. Earlier, the Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid was expected to enter the market mid-year, however, due to the ongoing challenges in the automotive industry of Pakistan, the automaker delayed the launch. Nonetheless, it is now expected to finally hit the market in December 2023 which could even strengthen the competition in the hybrid cars in Pakistan.

Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid was earlier introduced as a CBU unit in Pakistan. It is equipped with a 1798cc hybrid engine which produces 168 hp and 305 Nm of torque.

Honda & Toyota posted a significant decline in sales in October 2023 on a year-over-year basis.

As per the PAMA sales report, Honda Atlas sold just 379 units of City & Civic - 72.3% less than it sold in its corresponding period last year. Similarly, Toyota Indus sold 796 units of Yaris & Corolla - 56.7% lower than last year.
