On Self Defence Against Cyber Crime
Hi people!
Today our cyber awareness team will tell you about dos/ddos
What is dos/ddos attack?
In computing, a denial-of-service attack (DoS attack) is a cyber-attack in which the perpetrator seeks to make a machine or network resource unavailable to its intended users by temporarily or indefinitely disrupting services of a host connected to a network. Denial of service is typically accomplished by flooding the targeted machine or resource with superfluous requests in an attempt to overload systems and prevent some or all legitimate requests from being fulfilled.

How can we prevent these kind of attack?
Strengthen their security posture: This includes fortifying all internet-facing devices to prevent compromise, installing and maintaining antivirus software, establishing firewalls configured to protect against DoS attacks and following robust security practices to monitor and manage unwanted traffic.
According to Wikipedia;
Phishing is a type of social engineering where an attacker sends a fraudulent (e.g., spoofed, fake, or otherwise deceptive) message designed to trick a human victim into revealing sensitive information to the attacker or to deploy malicious software on the victim's infrastructure like ransomware.
In simple words, Phishing attack means type of scam in which cyber-criminals attempt to gain access to your sensitive data.
It is usually done through email. The goal is to steal sensitive data like credit card and login information, or to install malware on the victim's machine
