The Department of Statistics conducted a workshop about "Developing Shiny App" on Monday, January 16, 2023. Mr. Haseeb Ur Rehman, Statistical Officer for Social Welfare, and Bait UL Maal Punjab delivered the talk.The students learned a lot from the workshop, which was really interesting.It was an excellent learning opportunity, particularly for students in their last years of bachelor's and master's degrees.They can hone their professional skills and learn about recent advancements in the field by using R Studio with the help of this session.

On Friday, January 14, 2023, the Department of Statistics hosted a seminar titled ""COVERAGE,PARAMETRIC, AND OBSERVATIONAL UNCERTAINTIES IN GLOBAL TEMPRATURE." Dr Maryam Illyas, Assistant Professor from College of Statistical Sciences, the University of Punjab, delivered the lecture. The programme was very informative, and both the students and the professors learnt a lot from it. Especially for master's students, it was an excellent educational opportunity.

Friday Session 2023.

On December 20, 2022, the Department of Statistics hosted 19 undergraduate students majoring in statistics and 3 faculty members from the Government Postgraduate College for Women in Samanabad, Lahore. This outreach activity was an open house for the MPhil in Statistics programme and a campus tour. Students and faculty were informed about the admission process, program and fee structure for the Mphill Statistics program. The campus tour acquainted them with the facilities and culture at FCCU.

The department of statistics organized An invited talk by Dr. Azam Zaka on Generalized power family of distributions, followed by a fruitful discussion. It was a wonderful learning experience for graduate students.

Two days workshop on "Data Analytics with R" organized by the Department of Statistics on Tuesday (14th June) and Thursday (16th June).
The resource person of this workshop was Mr. Haseeb-ur-Rehman, Statistical Officer Punjab Social welfare Department.

Farewell of Mr Mustansar Aatizaz Amjad. He left FCCU to join Allama Iqbal open university, Islamabad. He served as lecturer at Department of Statistics at FCCU and also as the advisor for
