Taimoor Khan Mumtaz is senior architect at Kamil Khan Mumtaz Architects. He holds an
MA in South Asian Design & Architecture from De Montfort University, Leicester, UK (1999)
and a Bachelor of Architecture from National College of Arts, Lahore in 1994.
Taimoor is also the founding director of Hast-o-Neest – Institute of Traditional Studies &
Arts in Lahore.

With the holy month of Ramadan finally here, Lums Religious Society (LRS), along with Rizq LUMS and the Student Council of LUMS has decided to conduct a ration drive. This is a time of giving, compassion, and solidarity, and we are reaching out to you in the hope that you will help us make a difference in the lives of those in need.
It is a time when we come together as a community and show our support for one another. With the rising cost of living and the ongoing economic crisis, many families are finding it difficult to provide Aftar and Sehri for their loved ones.
This Ramadan, we are striving to provide food, in forms of Ration Packages to the Muslim Workers at LUMS. We want to ensure that their families can keep their fast with a sufficient meal and experience the true spirit of Ramadan. We are committed to helping those in need, but we cannot do it alone.
Please donate generously to help us make a difference in the lives of those who are struggling. Together, we can make this Ramadan a time of hope and joy for all.

Zubair Anis Ahmed is a LUMS graduate BSc 2010, founder of LUMS EMS and an accredited Cambridge International Teacher Trainer. He is a professional school teacher and has taught at several institutes in Lahore over the past 14 years. He also runs a renowned tuition learning center. Zubair has devoted significant time to pursuing Islamic knowledge from traditional Islamic scholars in Pakistan. He uses exceptional teaching skills to deliver motivational lectures and Quranic Tafseer sessions for youth and adults.

Moeen Mahmood is the Director of Academics at IIPG – UMT. He is also a Senior Faculty member of A-Level Economics at LGS, Roots & LACAS. Moeen did his undergraduate & graduate from LUMS in 2011. Since then, he has taught college & university students and engaged them towards a positive meaningful life. Moeen also completed his 7-year Pre-Aalimiyah Degree from the Wifaq ul Madaris in 2015 and spent his free time guiding youth by giving lectures and workshops.

Ahmed Makki is an experienced consultant with over 10 years of diverse professional experience with reputable management consulting firms, including McKinsey & Company. Ahmed has completed his undergraduate from LUMS and his Masters from the University of Notre Dame, USA. He has balanced his pursuit of Islamic Learning with his professional goals. He has studied Classical Islamic Learning under qualified scholars for five years in Pakistan and USA. He regularly delivers spiritual and motivational talks to youth and working professionals. Currently, he is the Associate Partner at Impetus Advisory Group.

Shaykh Dr. Hammad Tufail Chaudhary has done M.B;B.S, FCPS, PhD Hematology from Punjab Pakistan.

He has also completed a formal eight-years course under qualified ulama in classical Islamic learning including Tafsir, Hadith, and Fiqh.

He completed specialization in Fiqh (IFTA) under qualified Ulama.

He has been granted an "Ijazah"; (permission to guide people on how to get pureness of Heart) in the discipline of "Tazkiyah" (a Islamic Spirituality).

He is currently in Saudi Arabia working as Assistant Professor of Hematology in Medical College.

He delivers regular online & live lectures to students on Tafseer, Akhlaq, also tutoring them on the spiritual path (way of getting closer to Allah).

“Love & Beyond- An Islamic Perspective!” on the 2nd of March (Thursday) at 7:15 pm in the A-16 Academic Block

The event will focus on different aspects of romantic relationships through the Islamic lens while addressing cultural issues as well.
Particular importance will be given to common misconceptions, which is why we encourage anyone interested to attend.

Our lives take a 360 degrees turn when they are exposed to the university phase. This transition is often always accompanied by uncertainties, chaos and imbalances and it is not a child’s play to pass through them.
