A cognitive approach is required rather than linguistic to grasp this idea of khudi. Sufis deviated from Haq because they could not apprehend this concept of khudi. Sufis thought that this element of khudi in them belonged to Allah so they started worshiping it just to please Allah. But Allah wants us to please that khudi just to please our own selves. Sufis created methods to please Allah چِلے ، وظائف ، فاقے اور مردوں کا تجرد بن کر رہنا ۔ . As they thought their khudi was a “ghair” for them, a part of Allah . They thought worshipping Allah meant renouncing everything thing except Him. All the methods of Sufism revolve around one basic principle which is self-denial. The objective of Sufism which is the illumination of self may not be achieved through the practice of self denial rather an agenda of self-affirmation is required.
ﷲ کی زات کی perpetaulity ہماری زات کی perpetaulity
کو validate کرتی ہے ۔
آپ کی عین کا مطلب ہے ۔ آپ کی primaryself ۔ یعنی آپ کون
ہیں اِس کا جواب ۔
Here I want to pay high tributes to Sir Muhammad Iqbal, I have learned a lot from him. But I can not deny the fact that his message toward the Muslim Umma carries some harmful effects on their path to recovery from the negative aspects of Islamic traditional schools of jurisprudence. There has been an intellectual stagnation in the Islamic world and one of the major contributing factors is that Muslims tend to look back to Islamic jurisprudence as something fixed in form and thought to be already defined for us in the previous centuries. Any new thought or idea is considered to be against Orthodox Islamic theology. In his own poetic words,
آئینِ نو سے ڈرنا، طرزِ کُہن پہ اَڑنا
منزل یہی کٹھن ہے قوموں کی زندگی میں
he is suggesting the Umma adopt a new constitution for themselves., but Sometimes your glorified past doesn't allow you to move forward. The past is already over and gone forever. Finding the solutions to problems of the present time by indulging yourself in the memories of your glorified past is a wrong approach. Iqbal’s poetry doesn't allow his followers to detach themselves from the past and accept the present as real.
Moreover, a sizeable part of his literary work contains reverence for the past mystics of Islamic umma. He tried partially to develop a critique of Islamic mysticism in Asrar e Khudi. Still, he failed to understand that a more aggressive approach was required to reject it as something malicious for both the internal and external growth of an individual.
اپنی زات کی پوجا سے مراد یہ ہے کہ ،
اپنی زات کا بُت بنا لیں اور اُس کو تسخیرِ کاینات
کی کھوج پر لگا دیں ۔
The divinity in man makes him superior to other creatures. He is the sole representative of God Almighty on this earth. He is the one who suffers, he is the one who conquers and he is the one who surrenders. No one besides him seems to be superior to him. You must understand the superior side of yourself and start acknowledging it.
Listen, carefully to what,” Khudi “is saying to you. “Accept your own self, no one is superior to you my lord. I am like the stem of a rose flower, well rooted in the soil and you are like a rose flower blossoming in the outer world. I am providing you with sustenance in the outer world from the inner world. Now listen to what the Lord Almighty says about me to his angels and how the angels responded.
“And when thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am about to place a viceroy in the earth, they said: Wilt thou place therein one who will do harm therein and will shed blood, while we, we hymn Thy praise and sanctify Thee? He said: Surely I know that which ye know not.”(2:30)
They knew how oblivious I was but the lord Almighty knew, what they didn't. I am the ultimate capacity of a human being nevertheless controlled by someone far superior to me and guess who is that authority, it's YOU.”
Inner consciousness means the complex of inner moral and ethical principles that control or inhibit the actions or thoughts of an individual. As it is, the qualitative nature of the human soul carries within the depths of its inner reality, the wholesome amount of guidance for its futuristic needs. The instincts of an individual are interconnected with the human soul and have to be taken care of, according to the law of Islam. On the contrary, methods of Sufism were designed and structured to deny human instincts, considering them as something devilish. Renouncing food, s*x, and other pleasures of life according to Sufism, brings them closer to their inner reality. They failed to understand that the religious experience thus achieved is malicious in its essential nature. The subjective experience of such an individual hardly carries any fruitful agenda for humanity, rather it destroys the dignity of the human soul.
Infinity is relative. Let me explain with an example. Consider Bill Gates and a beggar both got 10 lac rupees. For the beggar, it's a huge amount which can be considered an infinitely huge amount but for Bill Gates that money is like a zero. Similarly, a distance of 100 km is not that long for a man but for an ant, it's like an infinity. The universe seems to us infinitely vast but its infinity lies within the infinity of Creator.
