The Nursing Division of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMCH&RC) celebrated its 18th Annual Award Distribution Ceremony on May 29, 2023.

Attended by the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Director of Nursing, Faculty members, and students, the ceremony was a testament to the institution's commitment to excellence. Fifty-two students were honoured with certificates encompassing Post-RN BS Oncology Nursing and Post-basic diplomas in nursing, Medical Technicians in surgical, OR, and ICU.

During the welcome address, Ms. Rehana Elahi, the Director of Nursing, emphasised the significance of evidence-based practices, critical thinking, and lifelong learning. She highlighted SKMCH&RC's vision to foster continuous professional growth, exemplified by the 2-year degree program in oncology nursing initiated in 2020. The first and second batches of Post-RN BS Oncology Nursing students received certificates in this ceremony.

Dr. Asif Loya, the chief guest and Medical Director, SKMCH&RC, Lahore, commended the nurses for their pivotal role in delivering consistent and quality patient care.
