The spacious lecture halls and the extensive indoor space will all make for a very comfortable environment to be in. We present to you our trainers for the workshop!

We are honoured and extremely excited for our esteemed trainers to join us this Friday.

𝗛𝗶𝗿𝗮 𝗔𝗺𝗷𝗮𝗱, Executive Director Dastak Foundation, is the backbone of this workshop. Since the day we commenced this partnership she’s been kind enough to lend us her expertise and design a workshop that would cater to all. She has been working towards violence prevention and advancement of gender equality in Pakistan since 2014. She has developed and executed various grassroots-level community engagement projects and social mobilization development projects, directly contributing to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal number 5

𝗛𝗶𝗯𝗯𝗮 𝗜𝗺𝗿𝗮𝗻, an Empowerment Self Defense (ESD) instructor/trainer. She is the co-Program Lead, ESD at DASTAK Foundation. She has been involved in numerous trainings for children and women around the basic principles of Self Defence, especially trauma informed coaching for victims of gender based violence and harassment. Her speciality is in trauma response strategies such as flight, fight, freeze and fawn. She has trained more than 800 individuals around Pakistan.

The Amazing Race Shalamar!

Race to compete a series of challenges placed all across campus and beat the other teams back to the finish line!!

So what exactly is 'The Amazing Race Shalamar'. Well it's simple. Each team will have to compete in 10 mini challenges placed all over campus. Starting at the ground floor each team will be given their first task to solve. First team to solve it is the first to move on to the next round where they'll be met with an even more nerve-wracking and intense task to complete. Your team work will be put to the test along with your skills and not to mention your patience. Fastest team to complete all 10 tasks will be crowned as champions.

Just one rule: Don't stop having fun!

"One in two Pakistani women who have experienced violence never sought help or told anyone about the violence they had experienced." - 𝗨𝗡𝗙𝗣𝗔, 𝗣𝗮𝗸𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻

Domestic violence, marital abuse, sexual exploitation, early/forced Marriages gender disparity. These are just a few manifestations of GBV experienced by women every day in Pakistan as they try to navigate their life in this country.

𝗨𝗖𝗠𝗗-𝗟𝗖 along with 𝗖𝗠𝗛-𝗟𝗖 and 𝗦𝗠𝗗𝗖-𝗟𝗖 brings forth a much-needed and timely collaboration with 𝗗𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗸 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 aimed at sensitising medical students toward the 𝘃𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗕𝗩 around them, and more specifically ways in 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗚𝗕𝗩.

The collaboration is meant to stimulate meaningful conversations and teach students/participants ways in which they are supposed to interact with survivors of Assault, Sexual/Domestic Violence, etc in the future as healthcare professionals along with ways in which they can reach out to relevant authorities. The capacity building session will be followed by self-defense class for everyone.

We look forward to hosting you and hope that this effort may bring forth some change, however little, as to how we interact with women on a societal level.

Compassion fatigue; a condition characterized by emotional and physical exhaustion leading to a diminished ability to empathize or feel compassion for others, is now very common in health care professionals due to chronic self-sacrifice and prolonged exposure to difficult situations throughout their career leading unhealthy trust relationship between patient and doctor. So its important to overcome the compassion fatigue and to keep this trust intact that doctors build over a period of long time, SMDC LC and DGKMC LC and Rajiv Ghandhi Medical College have collabrated to bring you 'SURPASSING COMPASSION FATIGUE'!

How to Apply:

Please answer all the questions required in the Registration form here and add the details of your delegates in this Google Sheet provided here (You are supposed to replicate the template and make a subsheet named on your Local Council and add the details there. Kindly make sure that you upload the CNIC copies of all your delegates in a drive and attach the link in the sheet).

For SC sessions, Local Councils are supposed to nominate the delegates internally and add in the decided nominee in the google sheet given above. If extra spots are desired, the OC must be informed beforehand.

If your LC is from outside Lahore and your delegate needs accommodation, please inform us beforehand so that we may properly arrange accomodation.

NOTE: Please note that this NGA'21 Registration form is only to be filled by Local Presidents through their official Email IDs.
