I was thinking about weddings from earlier times.

Back when there were no event planners, and it was just chachu, mamu, or taya handling the event planning and coordinating with vendors.

Now, the industry has changed so much, and decor has become too detailed for anyone to pull off properly.

Plus, chachu and chachi don’t get as involved in your own events anymore.

Planning is kept so secret because of nazar.

The most a family member does now is host a dinner or a dholki.

I feel we as an industry are innovating but regressing in terms of connections and love for our extended family.
