Children enjoyed the Horse 🐎 riding activity and even grew Plants/ Trees 🌳 in order to combat the prevailing smog. They loved the trampoline, jungle gym, and open fields on the farm. TNS Beaconhouse DHA presents Reception Orange’s Project Presentation. Our young learners in Reception Orange showcased their learning on the Presentation Day for their parents and grandparents in the most spectacular way. Celebrating the beauty of all four seasons of the year, each child dressed up as a special character, depicting one of the important characteristics of each season. Crisp and crunchy autumn hues to, chill and freezing cold winters, and moving onto vibrant, and blossoming colors and scents of spring, to ending in hot and humid summers. Their learning journey had been remarkable, while they dealt with each season in all its grandeur, week by week, in detail. Integration of all the subject areas was a vital aspect, and the child's home-school connection was kept in mind while executing the project - So the children could benefit from it as a holistic experience. Children's reflections and feedback would further guide the teachers, as the way forward, which is an important guideline to IB learning. On the vibrant morning of November 27th, our little stars at kindergarten dazzled us with their enchanting project presentation on “Learning through Patterns.” In the rhythmic journey, our budding artists swayed to the beat of their own creativity, weaving patterns into every graceful step. The dance floor transformed into a canvas, as they pirouetted, twirled, and leaped, tracing geometric shapes and symmetrical designs. From zigzags to polka dots, their nimble feet painted a mesmerizing tapestry of movement. But that wasn’t all, our little Picassos took pattern exploration to heart. Armed with crayons, markers, and boundless imagination, they adorned their family photographs with intricate patterns. Parents joined the fun, sharing stories behind each snapshot. The room buzzed with laughter and love as generations connected through art. It was a Kaleidoscope of Learning! Why patterns, you ask? Because they’re everywhere! From butterfly wings to city grids, patterns shape our world. Our mini researchers discovered patterns in nature, music, and even their favorite bedtime stories. The "Growing & Changing" project in the PBL nursery program embarked on an intriguing exploration of developmental stages, triggered by the innocent curiosity of the young minds. The project's genesis emerged from a pre-provocation session after which the children posed a profound and delightful question: "Why don't babies come to school?" This simple query became the catalyst for an engaging journey of discovery. Leveraging the creative prowess of the drama teacher, they introduced the timeless tale of "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" by Eric Carle. Throughout the project, the educators skillfully integrated various disciplines. They encouraged critical thinking by prompting discussions on change, growth, and adaptation, fostering a holistic understanding of the world around them. The project's thematic scope expanded beyond individual development, encompassing broader concepts such as self-identity, family dynamics, friendships, expressions, and emotions. Grade 1 students from all sections recently presented their project, "Sustain Your Style," with a captivating showcase that unfolded in various stages. Commencing the event, they set the tone with the impactful song "We Need to Wake Up." Subsequently, the young learners embarked on a comprehensive journey, narrating the evolution of their project from inception to the final product. During this presentation, each student was given the opportunity to share their unique learning experiences. The students delved into the intricacies of the design process, highlighting the creative reuse, recycling, and repair of materials. These efforts resulted in the production of an array of items, including art décor pieces, bags, jewelry, and clothing. The students went beyond the mere presentation of their creations; they effectively communicated the message of repurposing discarded items into valuable and aesthetically pleasing items. TNS Beaconhouse DHA presents Grade 4 Blue’s Project Presentation. Grade 4 Blue hosted an enthralling project presentation for parents on sustainable fashion. The song ‘Fast fashion, oh so fast’ was sung by the students to spread awareness about the true cost of fast fashion and emphasize the importance of responsible consumer behaviour. Students showcased their knowledge through an MUN session, where students represented delegates from different countries and passed resolutions against the fast fashion industry. A sustainable fashion retail outlet was set up by the students, which remained the center of attraction throughout the presentation. All products sold by students at their retail outlet were made from leftover materials and fabric. Students also participated in an Urdu role play, highlighting the dilemma faced by garment workers. To promote sustainability in fashion, students came up with a live tv commercial, which won praise from the audience. The sustainable fashion show put up by 4 Blue was an instant hit. TNS Beaconhouse DHA presents the Grade 3 White Project Presentation. Grade 3 White showcased their final first-term project presentation centered on the theme of "Inventions." The proceedings commenced with a gallery walk, wherein parents were provided with a comprehensive overview of the students' research, assignments, problem identification, proposed solutions, and the final product designs for their respective inventions. Following the overview, the students delved into the specifics of individual inventions crafted to address real-world challenges. These innovations included the Grow a Plant Pencil, Cardboard Projector, Muff glasses, Sleeping Pillow 9000, Slide Stairs, Spongy Gloves, Pet Caves, and Portable Air Coolers. Subsequently, the focus shifted to group projects undertaken collectively by the class. One noteworthy initiative involved addressing the predicament of homeless individuals. The students devised a versatile "flipping bed" that doubles as a bench during the day and transforms into a comfortable sleeping space at night. Another project aimed at easing the burden of carrying school bags up and down stairs resulted in the creation of a bag lift, employing a pulley system designed with the students' understanding of simple machines. In response to environmental concerns and the scarcity of clean water in Pakistan, the students developed a rainwater filtration system. This innovative solution collected and filtered rainwater, ensuring it could be repurposed for various household needs. Lastly, the students designed a solar tire seat for parks and public spaces, offering a seating solution equipped with solar-powered lights. The use of recycled tires underscored the environmentally friendly aspect of the creation. The students, thoroughly engrossed in the research, invention, and presentation processes, left a lasting impression on the parents, who expressed their admiration and appreciation for the students' efforts. #tnsdha #tnsbeaconhouse #p

TNS Beaconhouse DHA presents Grade 3 Orange & 3 Blue Project Presentation. Grade 3 Orange & 3 Blue had their presentations for their first term project titled “Necessity is the mother of inventions”. Students learned about how the world has changed over time and how inventions and innovations are a result of inventors trying to solve certain problems. Throughout the project process, they learned about old inventions, global issues that need to be solved, patents and how an invention can be a source of income for the inventors. In the project presentation, the students showcased their inventions. From inventions ranging from water-saving and water-cleaning devices (Watero-Savero and Water works), paper-saving devices (Wiping Erasers), fuel-efficient transport (Family bikes), pollution-reducing inventions (Pollution gone), animal shelters (Safe homes), devices to reduce food wastage (DCER), and chairs that help people with knee problems (Chair-o-Up),. The students let their creativity shine! Along with the prototypes, images were generated on AI of how the students wished their inventions to look like. The presentation was done in a Dagon’s Den format, with parents participating as generous investors. This entire process taught the students how to be resilient, innovative, and not to give up in the face of challenges.
