In 1997, after the registration with Social welfare and Baitul Mall Department govt. of Punjab, DASE participated in a different training session for various government and social institutions to enhance the capacity of its members. The prominent in all are Social Welfare and Baitul Mall, Orangi Pilot Project (OPP), Shirkat Gah, South Asia Partnership Pakistan (SAP-PK), British Council, Care International Pakistan, Christian Study Center (CSC), Pattan Development Organization (PDO), Trust for Volunteer Organization (TVO), Population welfare Punjab, Punjab Commission on Status of Women PCSW) and UNDP. DASE aims to provide fundamental education & health awareness services to empower women socially, politically, and economically. Our aim is to ensure the welfare of youth and people with disabilities by working closely with the Social welfare department. In the recent COVID-19 wave, DASE closely worked with the Department of Health, supported them in their initiative to raise awareness regarding the importance of polio vaccination, dengue fever, the importance of childbirth registration, and precautionary measures against the deadly novel coronavirus. Multan's Union Council Nawabpur and other union councils are flooded every year. In flood situations, relief camps were set up for flood victims under closely working with the Department of Social Development and participation in relief work of other government agencies. For example, flood victims have been rescued from the water and brought to safety, and their food and drink have been packed. In addition, medical campuses have been organized in the flood-hit areas, medical facilities, and awareness sessions on infectious diseases were organized. DASE also conducted training workshops and awareness sessions for local health workers & midwives on solutions to pregnant women's health problems and complications. At the same time, efforts have been made to raise awareness about basic health issues through community sessions and banners. DASE Development Organization has the honor of being a member of the U-Polio Committee on Polio. DASE has been assisting in the formulation and implementation of Polio and other vaccination programs. DASE has been instrumental in conveying importance to the parents of neglected children in the settlements along the river. The importance of polio and other immunizations has been highlighted through social theaters in areas where polio or other vaccinations are denied. DASE development organization has been nominated as a member of the District Core Group formed at the district level to plan and review the government's family planning program to control the growing population. Awareness counters and community sessions were also held to highlight the importance of family planning in the community and to provide information on various methods and facilities, including married couples. Series of sessions & Workshops were organized in and around Nawabpur under the supervision of the Social Welfare Department to raise awareness about the importance of childbirth and death registration in the villages, which included representatives of local government and local marriage seekers. DASE has been involved in the government's tree-plantation campaign to eliminate air pollution. In our area, DASE started a tree-planting campaign at the local level in which plants were planted in different settlements of the area, and then their care is followed up regularly. DASE also organized other charitable activities in collaboration with various government and other social organizations such as social and religious harmony, awareness of the proper use of the vote, national and international festivals such as International Women Day 8th March, 3rd December Int. day or persons with disabilities, etc to promote the importance and development of local culture, cultural activities organized y DASE. DASE held awareness sessions on coronavirus precautions and also put up banners on various highways in the community. Government and social representatives also continued to participate in and encourage various activities organized by the Dase for social welfare.
