A delegation of مركز طوارئيات الطبي Twareat Medical Center from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia visited Hayatabad Institute of Medical Sciences and conducted interviews from about 200 shortlisted Nurses of Khyber Pakhtukhwa.

The team was lead by Mr. Saleem Diknash from Jordan, working as Education Manager at Twareat Medical Company, Mr. Junedon Joss Felina from Philippines, working as a Recruiter at Twareat Medical Company and Mr. Haider as a Senior Nurse at Twareat Medical Company.

All arrangements were thanks to Young Nurses Association KPK in the presence of Mr. Hazrat Wahab, President of YNA Peshawar.

These interviews are conducted in 3 cities; Lahore, Peshawar and Karachi for recruiting nurses from Pakistan. In Peshawar their center was Hayatabad Institute of Medical Sciences.

Khyber Medical University Celebrates International Nurses Day

The Khyber Medical University (KMU) Institute of Nursing celebrated International Nurses Day with a seminar held at the Dr. Hafeez Ullah Auditorium KMU. The event saw significant participation from notable figures, including VC KMU Meritorious Professor Dr. Zia Ul Haq, Dean BMS Prof. Dr. Rubina Nazli, Dr. Dildar Muhammad, Director INS, Prof. Dr. Zilli Huma, Director Academic & Admission, Prof. Dr. Inayat Shah, Director IBMS KMU, faculty members, and students. The seminar was organized under the leadership of Director INS, Mr. Dildar Muhammad, and his dedicated team. This year's theme was "Economic Power of Care," celebrating the legacy of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.

Director INS, Dr. Dildar Muhammad, opened the seminar with a welcome speech, acknowledging the economic power of care and recognizing the integral role of a healthy society in maintaining economic stability. He also highlighted the hard work, professionalism, competence, compassion, and respect nurses show to patients and their families. Dr. Dildar stressed the importance of continued education and professional development in nursing to ensure the highest standards of patient care, referring to nurses as the backbone of the healthcare system.

Mr. Imran Waheed from INS provided a comprehensive overview of the event, highlighting key details and the seminar's significance. He reiterated the economic power of care and discussed KMU's role in providing high-quality nursing education at a low cost. Waheed stressed the importance of acknowledging the hard work, professionalism, competence, compassion, and respect nurses show to patients and their families.

Prof. Dr. Zilli Huma, speaking at the seminar, emphasized that the noble profession of nursing builds compassion and empathy through knowledge and skills.

Dean BMS Professor Dr. Rubina Nazli, during her address, stated that nurses are not less than doctors in any sense, highlighting their critical role as the first line of service in the healthcare system. She urged nurses to be skilled, empathetic, disciplined, and dedicated to proving themselves as invaluable members of the community.
A highlight of the event was a panel discussion where experienced nurses shared their experiences and challenges faced in the field, fostering a rich dialogue about the profession's evolution and the path forward. The session also included a Q&A segment, allowing students to engage directly with the experts.

In closing, VC KMU Prof. Dr. Zia Ul Haq commended the Institute of Nursing for organizing such an impactful event and reiterated KMU's commitment to supporting and advancing the nursing profession. He appreciated the role of the Institute of Nursing Studies (INS) in hosting a seminar that featured several insightful presentations and discussions on contemporary nursing practices, advancements in healthcare, and the future of nursing education.

The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks from Mr. Dildar Muhammad, followed by a networking session where participants had the opportunity to connect and share ideas.
The celebration of International Nurses Day at KMU not only honored the indispensable contributions of nurses but also underscored the university’s dedication to excellence in nursing education and healthcare.
