A hands-on workshop on " How to write a Final Year Project (FYP) Proposal" was conducted on 4th December, 2023 by the SPE BUITEMS Chapter.

The speaker was "Dr. Imtiaz Ali" (Assistant Professor)
Department of Petroleum and Gas Engineering.

SPE BUITEMS got a 2nd position in the student Paper Contest at
29th SPE Annual Technical Conference & OIL SHOW 2023 held on 7-8 Nov 2023 at Serena Hotel Islamabad. The research paper was presented by the recent graduate of Department of Petroleum & Gas Engineering, BUITEMS Quetta "Mr Usman Khan Panezai".

Beside, there was approximately 1250 professionals attended the conference representing E & P industry, government departments, students and representation from Faculty members from the universities all over Pakistan where PE and G& G being taught.
it was a very wonderful exposure for the students to meet with industrial professionals.

SPE, BUITEMS Student Chapter arranged a one day Field Trip to the "MPCL Bolan Oil and Gas Field", Balochistan for the students of 3rd and 4th year at Department of Petroleum and Gas Engineering, BUITEMS Quetta.

Society of Petroleum Engineers BUITEMS Student Chapter organised a Technical session on "Enhancing Oil Well Productivity/ Workovers".
The session was delivered by Guest Speaker Engr. Muhammad Aslam Umrani on 2nd October, 2023. He is currently working at the DGPC, Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division) as a Provincial Director (Balochistan).
The session aimed to provide insights and guidance about how to increase oil well productivity by applying different techniques.
We are grateful to the speaker for such a highly productive session.

SPE, BUITEMS Student Chapter in collaboration with the Department of Petroleum and Gas Engineering have arrange a one day Trip for the 2nd year students to the Geological Survey of Pakistan (GSP), Quetta Museum on 27th September, 2023.

The students were greeted by an impressive collection of rocks, minerals, and fossils from various regions of Pakistan and also ignited the students passion for Paleontology and left them with a newfound appreciation for the Earth's rich geological heritage.

Weatherford international services oil/gas company limited back in December 2022 has conducted interviews for the position of Trainee Engineers at the Department of Petroleum and Gas Engineering, BUITEMS University. Interviews were conducted from top ten students of Batch Fall-2018 and three of the top candidates were selected for the job.

Dr. Abdul Qadeer Dayo is currently working as an Associate Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, BUITEMS, Quetta. He earned his Ph.D. degree in Material Sciences and Engineering from Harbin Engineering University, Harbin, P.R. China. His research areas include copolymerization of high-performance polymers, polymeric composites, radiation resistance of polymers, and reinforcement of agriculture waste in polymers.
