Our brilliant minds from the BBA Class of 2021 had an enriching experience at the Pakistan Stock Exchange this Wednesday (December 13, 2023). In collaboration with Zahid Latif Khan Securities (Pvt) Ltd. and the Center for Executive Development (CED), the visit was an eye-opener into the dynamic world of financial markets.
During the visit, our students were given an in-depth briefing on the inner workings of the Pakistan Stock Exchange. The highlight of the day was a live demonstration of stock trading, where our students got hands-on experience and even explored the PMEX portal.

Another exciting week at NBS comes to an end! Certificates were awarded to the final cohort of Easypaisa technical leaders after an extensive training program which was conducted from 4th- 8th December 2023. The training included a wide array of discussions and conversations both inside and outside the classroom.

Finance and Investment Department of NBS arranged a seminar on ''The Importance of Digital Financial Literacy and its Role in Promoting Finacial Inclusion''. Speakers Miss. Amina Ansari (Product Manager JazzCash and Miss. Hina Saleem Messiya (Regional Director Teach For Pakistan) shared their perspective about how improved digital financial literacy can increase financial inclusion in Pakistan. They also informed the audience about the steps taken by their respective organizations for improving the financial inclusion in Pakistan

NBS extends sincere congrats to Dr. Muhammad Adil Iqbal (Assistant Professor, Department of International Business & Marketing) on receiving an invitation from the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies to contribute an article to an Edited Volume on ‘Disruptive Technologies and Muslim Societies.’ The Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies, founded in 1985, is dedicated for the advanced study of Islam and the Muslim world from a multi-disciplinary perspective. In 2012, the Centre was granted a Royal Charter by HM Queen Elizabeth II. His Majesty King Charles III, as Prince of Wales, has been the Patron of the Centre since 1993 and inaugurated its building in Oxford in 2017. Professor Sir David Clary and Professor Shahid Jameel extended the invitation to Dr. Muhammad Adil Iqbal of NBS. The edited volume will be published by World Scientific Publishing, the largest international scientific publisher in the Asia-Pacific region.
Heartiest congrats to Dr Owais A. Golra of NBS on a recent acceptance of his paper titled, "Proximity and its impact on the formation of product and process innovation networks among producer firms," in Regional Studies Journal (ABS 4 & ABDC A*). Co-authors of the paper includes Prof Alessandro Rosiello (University of Edinburgh Business School, UK) & Prof Richard Harrison ( University of Edinburgh Business School, UK). Amazing work!
