مائکروسافٹ کی طرف سے وارننگ ہے کہ ہیکرز آپ کے پاسورڈ چوری کرنے کیلئے پڑے پیمانے پر ایکٹویٹی کر رہے ہیں، جس میں ایک نئے طریقے سے بظاہر حقیقی سروس پرووائڈر (ہاٹ میل، جی میل، وغیرہ) کی طرف سے دھوکہ دے کر پاسورڈ چوری کرنے کی کوشش کی جارہی ہے۔ ٹارگٹ کو ای میل میں دھوکہ دیا جاتا ہے کہ اس کی ای میل بند کردی گئی ہیں تاآنکہ کہ وہ خود کو ویریفائی نہ کرلے، جب ٹارگٹ ہیکر کی ویب سائٹ پر جاکر اپنا پاسورڈ دے دیتا ہے تو اس کا شکریہ ادا کر کے ایک معروف سیکوریٹی فائر وال سوفوز (Sophos) کی ویب سائٹ پر لے جایا جاتا ہے۔ جس کی وجہ سے ٹارگٹ سمجھتا ہے کہ وہ واقعی درست اقدام کررہا ہے اور مطمعین ہوجاتا ہے۔
آپ سب کی اطلاع کیلئے دوبارہ عرض ہے کہ کسی بھی سروس پرووائڈر کو آپ کے پاسورڈ کی کوئی ضرورت نہیں ہوتی، کوئی بھی کسی وجہ سے بھی آپ کی ای میل نہیں روکتا اور نہ ای میل میں ویریفیکیشن مانگتا ہے۔ اسلئے کبھی بھی ای میل میں کسی لنک پر کلک کر کے پاسورڈ نہ دیں۔

In recent wave of Ransomware and Financial hacking all businesses are advised to devise an effective IT and Backup policy. Please read following few points as a guide line.

IT Policy:
==========
1) Always try to install licensed software.
2) To reduce risk of virus infection, please install licensed Anti-Virus.
3) Prepare record of your IT inventory.
4) Ask your IT manager to create a network map of all devices including IP Cameras.
5) Install all IT equipment in a locked room or locked rack.
6) Arrange IT Security training for all your staff who work with your clients.
7) Store your passwords on secure and encrypted platform (Keypass/Splash ID etc).
8) Have your IT infrastructure audited by external auditor.

Backup Policy:
==============
1) A daily backup routine should be strictly enforced.
2) Auto backups are better than manual backups.
3) There should be atleast two copies of old backups available.
4) It is preferred that backups are locked with a password or an encryption key.
5) If possible a disaster recovery should be maintained at remote location.
