Talk’n’Roll is a conference created by Sabre employees for passionate people willing to expand their horizons, learn and get inspired.
Our mission is to provide a first-class non-tech conference and platform for the exchange of ideas and networking. Talk’n’Roll is a Sabre Conference created by Sabre employees
for passionate people willing to expand their horizons, learn, and get inspired. Our mission is to provide a first-class non-tech
conference and platform for the exchange of ideas and networking
among people interested in various areas. This year’s common
theme is: “Expect the unexpected”.
People, technology, trends - this is what Talk’N’Roll is all about. 🙌🏻 We have some fantastic surprises lined up to unveil in the coming weeks before the conference on October 12. ⏰ Excited yet? This year, we're centralizing all updates about our upcoming T'N'R 🎉 onto our main social media channels at Sabre Poland! Be sure not to miss out on any key information - follow us now for the latest news, updates, and announcements. Looking forward to seeing you there! 👀
For years we were told not to bring you personal problems to the workplace environment, but now, with so many of us working from home it’s getting more and more difficult to separate the two. And that’s why empathy is more and more important and can become your superpower.
You don’t believe us? Ask Anna Lichnerowicz: “Empathy cares about a person, not about his or her performance. But the person who feels cared about will take care of the performance.”
Watch the whole lecture by Anna.

It’s hard to imagine photography being dead with almost 55 thousands photos taken every second, 4.7 billion per day, 1.72 trillion per year. But still Oktawiusz Kacza wondered if it’s the end of photography as we know it?
“But as you can see with the technological progress we came to the moment when we cannot actually tell what is the truth and what is, I mean not a lie, but what is actually fabricated. And here’s a question. Is it the end of photography? Will this technological progress kill photography?”
If you’re interested in Oktawiusz’s conclusions, watch his whole lecture:

During Talk’n’Roll 2022 Krzysztof Wróblewski & Grzegorz Sikora talked about the access to technology for people (especially kids) with certain limitations. But what’s more important, they did set out to make it more accessible and succeeded!
“We want to give the opportunity for children to play their favorite games, to socialize, and to make their lives more joyful.”
Now, if it ain’t worth a round of applause and a rewatch of their lecture, we don’t know what is. 👏👏👏
▶ "Accessible Technology for People with Limitations": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fM7q9Oty73w&t=21200s
As you probably know by now, you can watch the whole Talk’n’Roll 2022 on YouTube.
But if you don’t have 7 hours to spare at the moment, here’s our event in a nutshell:
▶️
Are you cursed with knowledge and expertise? It doesn’t sound too terrible, but it can prevent you from connecting with your audience and make your knowledge inaccessible to them.
Fortunately Magdalena Petryniak knows a thing of two about lifting such curses.
“Never underestimate yourself. […] I want to tell you one thing. You already have the knowledge. And now, you also have the voice to speak up. Use it wisely. Be clear about the key message, go to the point, become audience centric, use empathy, use stories to communicate with people that you’re interacting with.”
Wanna know more? Watch Magda’s lecture:
▶ "The curse of knowledge and how to lift it” - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fM7q9Oty73w&t=19718s
Whether we like it or not, many of us are part of the corporate Matrix and sometimes it's challenging. But we can still make the best of the circumstances we find ourselves in.
How do we do it? The answers you seek are in Grzegorz Surma’s lecture:
▶ “Do you feel trapped in corporate Matrix”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fM7q9Oty73w&t=4689s
How to not only cope with changes in your life, but start welcoming them? Magdalena Gondek presented a strategy for dealing with changes based on “A-A-A”, which means Accept – Assess – Act. And knowing perfectly well that we don't always have a choice between accepting or rejecting change, she said: "Just close your eyes, go with the flow and see what happens."
If you want to understand what welcoming changes mean and how to cope with them, here’s a whole lecture by Magda.
▶ “Go with the flow! A personal perspective on why you should start welcoming changes in your life”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fM7q9Oty73w&t=24141s
With his lecture Wojciech Jamka was able to put our minds at ease regarding the future of AI.
“I think AI is not some kind of evil, some kind of superpower, which can take over the world. But it’s actually a lot of different algorithms, which are improving our lives, improving energy storage, improving transportation, improving our safety and improving our health. And I think it’s not something scary, but something really really nice and something we can enjoy.”
So we definitely don’t have to worry about Skynet anytime soon ;) But if you need further reassurance, watch the whole “Predict the unpredicted” lecture here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fM7q9Oty73w&t=3765s
If you’re into project management, there are a lot of things you can learn from Jan Biela-Abreu’s success story and his years of experience. And believe him when he says that progression is always better than perfection and that planning is everything.
But the single most important thing is probably this:
“I think that you should do what you love, be true to yourself […] In the end good things will happen. If you have the opportunity, take it. Because it is something worth doing.”
See what else you can learn from Jan’s lecture "Learning from an unexpected domain project - my way with Lego Masters": - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fM7q9Oty73w&t=2381s
During Talk’n’Roll 2022 Anna Stach talked about the power of minimalism. Among others she mentioned necessity of buying new things. She gave the listeners some pieces of information on how many items on average people have in their homes. And at the same time Anna showed a different perspective of buying things.
With three very simple questions that she asked Anna wanted our decisions were more aware.
1. Is this the best use of my money?
2. Does this item make my life truly better?
And the last one, I think the most powerful one
3. Do I really need it?
If you want to listen to the whole lecture, be our guest >> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fM7q9Oty73w&t=1167s
During Talk’n’Roll 2022 Daria Abramowicz talked about successful and healthy careers and the foundations they have to be build upon, something that is important not only for the professional athletes, but for the professionals in any given field.
“Today more than ever we need solid foundations which we can build upon. They will allow us to face any obstacles, adversities or unforeseen occurrences. In sports it can be a tough opponent, unfriendly weather or some random event which affects our perception of everything around us.”
If you want to listen to the whole lecture, be our guest.

Tired of Talk’n’Roll 2022? 😉 We neither!

6th edition of Talk N Roll - Sabre Krakow Conference 2022 - Expect the Unexpected - Online TALK'N'ROLL SABRE CONFERENCEA CONFERENCE LIKE NO OTHER About the event We want to change the stereotype of the IT specialist, who is always stuck to the screen and we want to show that IT and technology can inspire people to create interesting an...
Technology is a she (as least in Polish she is), so there’s no doubt that women have their place in the technology and IT industry. And the Women in Technology Poland association is all about embracing that fact and taking it a step further.
It helps women of IT develop their skills, empower those in leadership positions and build positive and supportive community.
That is why we are proud to have Women in Technology as Talk’n’Roll 2022 partner!
It’s time for our final and the most renowned guest! But how can you introduce a man that needs no introduction???
He’s one of the best and the most beloved polish actors with countless legendary roles in his resume. He received the Złote Kaczki awards for the best actor of the last 50 years and for the best comedy actor of the last century. He is also a director, a philologist, a writer and a professor of theater arts. Truly a renaissance man.
We’re beyond thrilled to introduce Jerzy Stuhr as our final Speaker during Talk’n’Roll 2022 and invite you all to meet the unknown alongside him.
Whether it is on a tennis court or any other aspect of our lives, the true mastery starts in our heads.
But if you have reservations, maybe our next Speaker, sport & performance psychologist Daria Abramowicz and the success she’s been having with a certain WTA No. 1, will change your mind.
Who (or what) is responsible for turning Talk’n’Roll team into paparazzi all of the sudden?? 📸📸📸
Leave your guesses in the comments. 💬
From the beginning of his career he has been associated with new technologies, innovations and strategic management. Now Oktawiusz Kacza is an experienced senior executive with over 20 years of experience in IT, banking and airline industry.
But his work won’t be the focus during his Talk’n’Roll speech, rather one of his passions.
We will try to answer the question if the photography is (not) dead and watch the invisible together.
Polish Java User Group (or Polish JUG for short) is also among our partners. They are a group of Java technology developers and enthusiasts looking to popularize Java and modern software development methodologies.
Their main activities are meetings with students, programmers and project managers as well as conferences with famous professionals… and that’s where we come in :D
