Materiały te dostarczają najwięksi światowi producenci żywic fotopolimerowych kierowanych do sektora medycznego. Kilka przykładowych wydruków 3D wykonanych na drukarce Zortrax Inkspire 2 Clinical można było obejrzeć podczas targów we Frankfurcie nad Menem.

🇬🇧 We are pleased to announce that during this year’s edition of Formnext, the largest trade fair dedicated to additive manufacturing technologies, we presented the Zortrax Inkspire 2 Clinical 3D printer for the first time. The device and dedicated Zortrax Clinical Suite software were available for visitors to see at the Zortrax stand on November 15-18.

The presented solution is used to serve specific medical applications in many fields, such as dentistry and orthodontics. Currently, Zortrax is in the process of validating high-quality 3D printing resins that will be compatible with the printer. These materials are supplied by the world’s largest producers of photopolymer resins for the medical sector. Several sample 3D printed made on the Zortrax Inkspire 2 Clinical could be seen during the event in Frankfurt am Main.

Zachęcamy do przeczytania pełnego artykułu.

Dental 3D printing resins, just like other medical devices, belong to various classes 💡

Zortrax Dental 3D printer can work with the class I and IIa biocompatible resins. Class I materials are cleared for transient contact with a human body. Class IIa resins are safe for longer contact with human tissue and can be used to print temporary crowns and bridges. Of course, Zortrax Dental 3D printers can work with materials that do not require biocompatibility, like resins used for diagnostic models or castable patterns.

Three-dimensional evaluation of marginal and internal fit of 3D-printed interim restorations fabricated on different finish line designs 09/07/2021

3D printing is more cost-effective, flexible and faster than traditional manufacturing techniques in dental applications. Zortrax Inkspire 2 Dent 3D printer requires lesser investment than 5-axis CNC machines, and can make multiple different designs simultaneously. According to peer-reviewed research, 3D printers are just as precise as traditionally-used dental tools.

In 2018, the research team based in Netherlands published a paper which compared precision of dental crowns made on a 5-axis CNC machine and on a resin 3D printer. The 3D printed crowns achieved mean internal gap in the range of 66 microns to 149 microns. These results were better from the ones obtained with the CNC machine!
