Health Month has started at Oxagile 🏁

In honor of World Health Day, we have decided to focus the current month on the topic of health 🏥

On April our are competing in two activities: Oxa Step Challenge 👟 with three winners and “My Active Weekend” story competition with one winner. Winners will receive special prizes: a fixed amount of money which they can spend on the any sport subscription 💰

On the first weekend of March more than 50 and their family members came together to celebrate Maslenitsa – a traditional slavic religious and folk holiday 🥞

The program of the celebration included ice-skating ⛸️, pancakes tasting 🧑‍🍳 and, of course, the informal communication in the atmosphere of warmth and kindness. We were glad to see everyone 💫

At , we have one amazing tradition. Every year we meet for a great team building event, and this summer is no exception! On a warm August evening last week, we enjoyed a memorable gathering with our wonderful .

For two weeks was all about a healthy challenge. The rules were simple. All interested united in teams of 5 and tracked the number of steps they walked every day. The more steps they did, the more chances to win they had. The team with the best total score won the .

It turned out that 10,000 steps a day was a piece of cake for our teammates. There was absolutely no stopping for them. The most fascinating thing was that some participants overstepped their limits and set personal records with 40,000-60,000 thousand steps! What a phenomenal involvement and stamina shown by our astonishing teammates.

This challenge summed up the spirit of Oxagile. We never step back if we have a long way ahead of us!

🌠 My passion for is both a childhood dream and meditation. There's something particularly peaceful and comforting in getting out of town, looking up and taking photos of the night sky, choosing and editing the best pictures.

Now I live in a country house, and I can take photos right in the backyard. It faces south where celestial objects move higher.

I don’t have the most modern and professional equipment. That’s why in my photography I try to mainly focus on unusual ideas or interesting objects. The summer before last I took a photo of a comet ☄️, and you are not going to see this very often. I like shooting the as well. Sometimes I’m lucky to capture its incredible mineral colors. There are impurities in the moon rocks that can give it yellowish, bluish and other shades (as in the third photo). 🌜

We continue to introduce you to unusual hobbies of our teammates. Today we will tell you about Vitaly - he not only works as a DevOps engineer, but he also runs a farm with his family.
The first one to start working on the farm was my father. I joined a little later. He manufactures products and takes care of our animals. I can help with building or buying something the farm needs. We have many geese and chickens, cows, a goat and a bull. Each animal has a special memorable name. For example, our bull is a serious guy. We named him Boris Semenych. One of the cows was born in May, so her name is Maya.
On the farm, we make various types of cheese, cottage cheese, milk and even glazed curds according to the Soviet GOST. You can get acquainted with our products as well as place an order by writing us - 😉
Moreover, the farm is a great fitness center! One dry straw roll weighs around 350-400 kg, and it is hard enough to roll it into a barn (especially with stumps on the way). Recently we rolled a couple of such rolls. It was quite a workout!
Fun fact: now I'm trying to befriend our bull. I have a plan to take a selfie with him. 😊

Meet Sergey – our Ironman!

For me, running and sports, in general, aren't hobbies, it's my lifestyle. I participate in marathons and half marathons, cycling and swimming competitions, and, of course, compete in the Ironman races. I also love skiing!

I did my first Ironman in 2021. This year I've gone even further and joined three races: full-distance and two – half-distance ones.

Quite recently I took up another personal challenge. In September, I conquered the Ironman in Italy, and just a week later ran a marathon in Berlin. It wasn't easy, but it was incredible!

Even small things can make a big difference.

Last week our team donated clothing, shoes and other stuff to charity project. Hope these things will get a new life and make someone happy. 😊

By the way, on December 5th the world is celebrating the International Volunteer Day. One more reason to remind ourselves about the power of kindness and support.
