🌏 During the second Graduation Day, 41 out of approximately 220 students from European, Asian, African and Central American countries received their diplomas.

On Wednesday, the participants of the 3e+ Summer School enjoyed a day full of adventure and fun! 🏰 We explored the historic Grodno Castle, soaking in the rich history and stunning views. The afternoon was spent around a cozy campfire, roasting sausages and sharing stories. 🌭🔥 To top it all off, we ended our day at the hanging bridge in Zagórze, where we treated ourselves to some delicious ice cream. 🍦😋 It was an unforgettable experience for everyone!

🔬 Izabela a student at the Faculty of Chemistry, Department of Process Engineering and Technology of Polymer and Carbon Materials from 17-24.06.2024 at AIX Marseille has been investigating the electrocatalytic properties of ORR/OER (oxygen reduction reaction/ oxygen evolution reaction) advanced carbon materials.
These materials will later be used as an air electrode in zinc-air batteries. 🔋🔋

👏Wrocław University of Technology was ranked seventh in the country, fourth among technical universities and traditionally first in Lower Silesia. 🥳🥳
👏The top two faculties in the country were construction (Faculty of Civil Engineering) and chemical and process engineering (Faculty of Chemistry).
Another thirteen in the lead and promotion in the national ranking- these are the results of Wroclaw TECH in the 2024 ranking by the Perspektywy Educational Foundation.

👍Our representatives at one of the world's largest conferences on the internationalisation of higher education NAFSA 2024 Annual Conference and Expo in New Orleans, USA, May 28-31. 🌎🌏
Our University was part of the Polish delegation, consisting of 20 representatives, under the auspices of the National Agency for Academic Exchange NAWA.
Andrzej Fąfara, Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Houston, and Dr Katarzyna Granat, a representative of the Polish Embassy in Washington, were also honoured with their presence. 👍

👉Last week representatives of Wroclaw TECH International Relations Office were promoting our University at the international fairs: a highlight of Erasmus+ Global Week 2024 at Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra and IPCA’s School of Technology in Barcelos, Portugal. Both events welcomed students and staff from different countries, providing a valuable opportunity for cultural exchange, networking, and exploring academic collaborations. 👩‍🎓🧑‍🎓

🏰 They are specialized in Chemical Nano Engineering and as part of the culture programme they were brought to Ksiaż Castle and also to see the Church of Peace in Świdnica (UNESCO monument).

The eminent French physicist is officially an honorary doctor of our university 😀

🇫🇷 Prof. Gérard Mourou and his PhD student Donna Strickland, developed the Chirped Pulse Amplification technique, which allowed for the amplification of ultrashort laser pulses to very high optical powers. They received the Nobel Prize for this achievement in 2018 🏅

☄️ The professor is also the ‘godfather’ of the European Extreme Light Infrastructure project and has been cooperating with Polish scientists for years.

The laudation was delivered by the PhD supervisor, Prof. Krzysztof Abramski from the Wydział Elektroniki, Fotoniki i Mikrosystemów PWr.

🧑‍🎓 One of our student Bartosz Stec has completed a Blended Intensive Programm (BIP) from the 18.03.2024 to the 25.03.2024 at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena in Spain.

🇪🇸The topic was about Information Systems Management and Industry.

🌍 Indeed, a BIP is a short mobility that our university can propose.

The meeting was led by PhD Eng. Nina Hutnik - Faculty of Chemistry at WUST an Amazon and MSc Anna Iwanowska IRO specialist.
Participants learned about important issues related to breast cancer about statistics and prevention. And most importantly, why these cushions are so necessary!
💕The cushions created during the workshop were donated to Voivodship Specialised Hospital, street H. M. Kamieńskiego in Wrocław, to the patients of the rehabilitation ward. 💕

The Professor Vassilis Fotopoulos from Cyprus University of Science and Technology came to visit the Faculty of Chemistry as part of the Sonate bis project in order make a scientific consultation and an evaluation of the correct operation of the micro-organism identification system.

We are pleased to host 29 participants from various universities from many countries ❗
🌍Tanzania, Brazil, Georgia, Tunisia, Portugal, Norway, Serbia, Kosovo, Germany, Spain, Cyprus, France, Netherlands, Latvia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Slovenia and Austria. 🌍

Yesterday, WUST hosted the delegation from ESEO GRANDE ECOLE D' INGENIEURS : Mr Olivier Camp, head of international Department, and Mrs Céline Tibbs Texier, International Department Coordinator.

Our guest had meetings at the Faculty of Electronics, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology and IRO's office.

Last weekend, a group of third-year architecture students painted a mural in the Welcome Center hall of the International Relations Office. You will soon see the final result.

The author of the mural: Natalia Opołczyńska, and the workmanship team of Magda Siemieniuk, Dominik Gromek, and Filip Sadowski under the supervision of PhD Karolina Jaklewicz.

This is Jakub Wilk, a young Polish student who came back from an Erasmus+ exchange from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain.He spend there winter semester.
