- UNBOUND -

UNBOUND is a poster depicting the struggle for freedom. The central image of the poster shows a person hiding from cameras. The cameras represent the omnipresent surveillance we experience in today’s society.
On the left side of the poster, there is another person of smaller stature. This person is trying to take the phone away from the person in the center. This smaller person represents the inner part of us that struggles to be authentic and free.

The use of cameras in the poster is particularly effective in representing the idea of invasive surveillance. Cameras are present in all areas of our lives, making us feel watched and controlled. The presence of the little person in the poster represents the part of us that is repressed by social norms and the expectations of others.

RED ROOM is an album cover that allows the viewer to interpret it in different ways. The album title could be a reference to a specific room, a state of mind or something more symbolic. RED ROOM could represent a place of passion, danger or both. The presence of the human figure adds a new element of mystery and intrigue. The figure’s face is obscured by the black shadows, preventing the viewer from identifying or understanding their intentions. This creates a sense of tension and suspense that invites the viewer to investigate further.

THIS IS NOT THE FINAL PRODUCT. IN FACT, IT’S A FAIL, BUT I wanted to show you guys that not all my art works are good and "perfect".

I spent hours working on this drawing and in the end, I ended up leaving it because I didn't like the the way it looked. The next day I showed it to my mom and I was very embarrassed because I didn't like the way Ellie's face looks. She told me that I shouldn’t be ashamed of my beginnings because those are my roots. That made me see the drawing differently. When my technique improves, I’m planing to redo this drawing and compare the before and after to see what things I could improve and what things still need practice.

First time doing one of this 🫶. I used Prismacolors pencils for this. Another day to trust the process tho. Totally loved working on this 🖤

ABOUT THE CHARACTER: Her name is Iyah and she’s an original character.

I need to get better at this but we all start somewhere. I know there’s a lot of things wrong but I feel happy with the outcome. I put the last photo to show you guys the mess that I have with the layers and their settings. I have a lot to learn but I know that I’ll get better over time if I set my mind to it. I want to share my progress with you because I know that for many people it can be frustrating when you are starting something new and things don't go the way you want them to go. I feel the same way because I have always drawn traditionally and now that I switch to digital art it is like a new world to me, but I am super excited about all the things you can do digitally.

With my progress, I want to show you that a person does not improve from one day to another. I know very little about the program so I'm going to look for videos and information so that I can understand it better. I have a goal of creating a webtoon but before that, I have to improve my art skills and characters. I already have the story in mind, but I need to improve the dialogue and the details of the story, and that’s another part of the process.
