According to the Portuguese Budget Law of 2021, after July 1st, some regions will no longer be eligible for Golden Visa for property acquisition (ARI) including :

• Lisbon Region
• Porto Region
• Entire Coastal area (including the Algarve)

These new rules will go into effect on 1 July 2021.

This means there is very limited time to purchase anywhere along the Coast of Portugal and to complete the administrative process of obtaining your Golden Visa.

Please anticipate that the COVID-19 restrictions would also heavily delay the usual processing time required.

We do recommend Investing sooner rather than later should you wish to invest anywhere on the Coast of Portugal.
