On the 25th, our CEO Carlos Freire de Oliveira was the moderator of this event organized by Apemeta, in partnership with ENERH2O.

A diverse and highly qualified panel brought together several institutions such as APA - Agência Portuguesa do Ambiente, FEUP, Águas de Portugal, AEPSA Associação, Águas do Porto, EM, Veolia, ITGest Portugal, Xylem, Hydraloop, HIDROVAL, Águas do Tejo Atlântico, and Ignite Portugal.

🎉 On September 15, 1997, Portuguese chemical engineers Carlos Freire de Oliveira and Francisco Oliveira founded VentilAQUA with a clear goal: to provide innovative solutions for wastewater treatment. 🎉

🌍🌿 AR Africa´s 2024 Roadshow for Wastewater Treatment & Effluent Treatment 🚰🌱

An event organized by our partner AR Africa, for the presentation of technologies and knowledge of their business partners represented throughout South Africa. Genesys - PWT, Piedmont Pacific, MEGA Group, Memstar USA, VentilAQUA

The event is divided between the two major industrial development hubs of RSA, Johannesburg and Cape Town, with presentations in meeting rooms and visits to selected clients, during a full week.

We were very well represented by engineer Pedro Gonçalves, who gave a presentation about our innovative technologies and equipment.

As an example, in biological treatment systems dealing with ammonia loaded waters, our approach minimizes CO2 emissions by converting ammonia directly into N2.

Wastewater Treatment Beyond Conventional 💧🌍♻️

New technologies are emerging to recover as much as possible all materials previously considered as wastes, in a fight to reduce rejects and value all possible remaining elements in wastes. Sustainability will only be possible if all these technologies move along with less energy.

Our systems run on a very low power supply, resulting in minimal specific energy consumption. The overall energy balance is significantly improved by replacing energy-intensive chemical dosing processes with electrochemical units.

Additionally, the use of these units in effluent pre-treatment enhances efficiency, leading to reduced energy consumption in downstream biological systems. This approach not only promotes sustainability but also contributes to energy conservation and environmental protection.

Neste evento foram dadas a conhecer algumas das mais recentes inovações tecnológicas, e os visitantes tiveram a oportunidade de acompanhar de perto soluções que estão a transformar diversos setores, interagir com especialistas, trocar conhecimentos, e explorar novas oportunidades de colaboração.

In the PET packaging industry, which is primarily contaminated by the food and beverage industries, washing, grinding, drying, and disinfection are crucial to reusing PET as raw materials for new packaging.

The wastewater from these activities is heavily loaded with suspended solids and dissolved organics from food residues.

Proper treatment must eliminate all suspended solids as well as dissolved organics. Employing a chemical-free technology combined with a smart biological system allows for a cost-effective and efficient treatment process.

VentilAQUA has applied its VABEC®, VAMEF®, and SmartSBR® systems to achieve these goals, offering a robust and cost-effective solution to meet the most stringent rejection limits and reuse parameters.
