We celebrated Madeira Wine together with Desarma, Madeira’s most recent Star. This was the first time that Chef and his team left their ‘fortress’ for an offensive with as the perfect pairing.

The harvest is made of traditions! 🍇
This year, we received our friends once again for a great moments at Quinta de São Jorge. The day was full of activities, with the Malvasia grape harvest being the highlight of the celebration! As well as the grape harvest, we had grape stomping, live music and great entertainment with lots of toasts with our Madeira Wine!

A produção de Vinho Madeira tem várias particularidades, entre elas destacam-se os terrenos (poios) onde as vinhas estão estabelecidas. Estes poios encontram-se nas encostas de norte e sul da ilha, sendo na maior parte em terrenos com declives acentuados, em solos ricos e de origem vulcânica que, em combinação com a proximidade ao mar, oferecem condições únicas e excepcionais para produção de um vinho ímpar.

The production of Madeira Wine has a number of particularities, including the land (poios) where the vines are established. These poios are found on the northern and southern slopes of the island, mostly on steep slopes, in rich soils of volcanic origin which, combined with the proximity to the sea, offer unique and exceptional conditions for the production of an incomparable wine.
