Everything is created of sheep wool, it is amazing how versatile this material is. We try to select our wool carefully from small and local manufacturers, hoping that avoiding big sheep wool industry we do not contribute to animal cruelty.

Tartaruga Crafts is a handcraft brand originated from Madeira Island. Our creations are inspired by Scandinavian handcrafts mixed with the tropical touch of the island of flowers.
We like to create handcrafted pieces using different materials (wool, cotton, silk, wood…) and tecnics (felting, knitting, crochet, irish lace…). Our passion is ethnic and rustic style with folk details… and we believe in fairies :)
