At its core, projection involves displacing one's own thoughts, feelings, or qualities onto someone else. This phenomenon frequently occurs when individuals experience emotions that are deemed socially unacceptable, uncomfortable, or difficult to acknowledge. Rather than facing these emotions head-on, individuals unknowingly attribute them to others, attributing the externalized feelings to someone else in an attempt to distance themselves from the discomfort.

For instance, if an individual harbors deep-seated feelings of jealousy but cannot admit to these emotions, they may project those feelings onto a friend or colleague by perceiving them as envious instead. Projection can serve as a psychological defense mechanism, allowing individuals to protect their self-image and maintain a false sense of emotional equilibrium. However, it can also lead to misunderstandings, conflicts, and strained relationships, as the recipients of projected emotions often find themselves baffled or unfairly judged for emotions they don't genuinely harbor.

Awareness and introspection are key components in addressing projection. Through self-reflection and therapeutic interventions, individuals can gain insight into their unconscious projections, ultimately fostering healthier relationships and a deeper understanding of themselves.

Our bodies are memory in each and every cell, encoded with our ancestor memories through our DNA, gathering every single bit of information from the first cell to full body formation. It is not enough to work with the brain and the mind.

This idea that the therapist needs to be entirely resolved, that the therapist does not get hurt and lives in happiness just because they know the matters of the mind and healing. It is in fact in the hurt and the continuous process of living through their own battles that the therapist gathers most of their tools. The therapist has and SHOULD have their own therapeutic process that is never ending either for the therapist or those in therapy. Therapy is not a magical wand that will fix you for life, it only gives you tools to manage life better, life will keep happening and affecting us, the mind will keep having batlles and chaos. It is part of being human and of our personal development and evolution.

The only way out of hell is through it. Emotions are survival mechanism that are there for a reason and need to be listen to and expressed, what is not expressed in impressed in the body and will cause many issues including physical illnesses. The ideia that we need to feel good all the time, the pressure to feel better immeaditely not only can make us sick but result in lack of emotional regulation and emotional maturity. We humans are meant to feel the full range of human emotions, they all have a purpose and this how we learn to cope and regulate ourselves - through feeling all that needs to be felt.
