When visiting Expo, Lisbon 👉 make sure you visit the train station, it's amazing.

The Estação do Oriente (Expo) is a major train, bus and metro station located in the Parque das Nações district of Lisbon. Oriente is Lisbon’s primary intercity train station, with express services to the north (Porto), south (Algarve) and east (Evora), along with suburban train services that include regular departures to Sintra.

The Parque das Nações (Park of Nations) is the striking modern side to historic and traditional Lisbon
The location of the Nations Park is also ideal for quick access to the rest of the city and the rest of the country. Gare do Oriente brings together in one location many urban, regional and inter-regional links with high-speed trains, trains, the metro, buses or taxis. From there, you can go anywhere in the country as well as connect with France and Spain. For those who prefer to travel by car, the district is very close to all major roads. Motorways going towards the north, south and Spain are only a few minutes from Nations Park, ensuring easy journeys, free from the city centre traffic. Lisbon’s international airport is just “around the corner”, ideal for frequent travellers.

There are plenty of shops on offer in the Nations Park area, notably the Vasco da Gama shopping centre. Here you will not only find all essential stores, but also well-known and popular brands. There are also many restaurants of interest for lovers of good food. Even for demanding shoppers looking for exclusivity and luxury brands who also have the Avenida da Liberdade, the world’s 35th most expensive street in the world on their doorstep!

Nations Park is also worth considering if studying and education is a priority. There are several public and private schools in the area, from nursery to high school. The Superior School of Health Technologies is also located in the district.

For higher education, it is worth noting that even though the university is not located in Nations Park, the university campus, home to several prestigious universities, is very accessible by public transport. Nations Park is only a few minutes away from anywhere in the city. One of the benefits of living in Nations’ Park is that you can prepare for the day ahead in a quiet and beautiful spot right in the middle of town.

Culturally, Nations Park probably offers the best mix of diversity and quality in the city. Here you will find the Atlantic Pavillion, one of the largest and most versatile shows and concert venues in Portugal as well as the head office of the Portuguese National Ballet, the Camões Theatre and the Lisbon Casino. These venues provide a huge selection of shows and concerts. On top of being a gambling and entertainment venue, the Lisbon Casino is also glamorous and cosmopolitan, a location where the most diverse people and cultures mix.

Nations Park is a perfect example of how all cities should be: many pleasant areas embracing nature, excellent infrastructure, modern spaces catering for the most discerning…
