This song Asha Bhosle - Mohd. Rafi duet from “Benaam (1974)" has music composed by R D Burman. Here Helen begins the dance performance with voice of Asha and soon seeks participation from her audience. “Why are you silent, come sing with me”- she invites Amitabh Bachchan. Big B begins to actively participate by lip syncing in Rafi’s voice, and the others too begin to lip sync in the voice of chorus making this song ahead of its time.

R.D. Burman's title music for this film was based on the main theme music of "Lawrence Of Arabia" (1962) by Maurice Jarre. This film may have been inspired by the American film "Girl on the Run" (1953) and was a superhit in India, but it was an even bigger hit in China, where it was released with the title "De Peng Che". This was Tahir Husain's first film as a producer. It was his only film as a producer that was directed by his brother Nasir Husain.
