🌍 There is no Planet B. 🌿 That’s why we’re raising our climate targets and giving our shareholders a vote on how we will achieve them. At our annual meeting in April, we’ll be the first company in the index family to put its transition plan to a vote and give our investors a say.

We’re also excited to announce key aspects of our forthcoming Climate Transition Plan 2040. For instance, for the first time we are setting a short-term goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from our own activities by 60 percent in 2026.

“We are aware that this action plan is ambitious. That is why we accelerating the transformation of our business model to develop solutions that range from more sustainable to fully climate-neutral products and services by 2040,” says GEA Chief Sustainability Officer Dr. Nadine Sterley. “Our goal is to reach net zero sooner than Germany or the E.U. To achieve this, we need all of our employees, business partners and customers to pull together.”
