The cold weather is coming! ❄️

Although antifreeze and coolant should be used all year round, it is especially important throughout the colder months when the engine’s cooling system is more likely to become frozen.

Today’s focus is Millers Oils Alpine Blue Antifreeze & Coolant, which is available in Concentrate or Ready Mixed.

Suitable for use in petrol and diesel engines, including hybrids, Alpine Blue Antifreeze & Coolant controls the temperature of your engine, protecting from frost formation and ensuring that it continues to run at optimal temperature.

It is a blue Monoethylene Glycol (MEG) antifreeze & coolant, which exceeds most European and international quality standards and does not contain nitrates, amines, phosphates (NAP free).

🔹 Alpine Blue Ready Mixed is ready to use, premixed with water at 50:50 ratio that will provide freeze protection down to -40 °C.

🔹 Alpine Blue Concentrate should be diluted with deionised or distilled water for optimum frost, heat transfer, and corrosion protection. It provides freeze protection down to -70 °C when used at 67% concentrate.

Millers Oils’ Vintage and Classic monograde engine oils… part two.

Following on from our focus last month about our Vintage Millerol engine oils, this month we are looking at our Classic Pistoneeze engine oils, also available in SAE 30, 40, and 50 viscosities.

Unlike the Vintage Millerol oils, the Classic Pistoneeze oils are moderate detergent engine oils and are suitable for post-war cars.

The Pistoneeze monograde engine oils are mineral-based and provide the level of wear and anti-oxidant protection required in Classic cars, but can be suitable for Vintage cars that have been upgraded to a modern filtration system i.e. replaceable oil filter. The level of protection provided is exceptional and equivalent to API SG performance.

These non-detergent grades provide anti-scuff capability and resistance to oil oxidation and bearing corrosion. The level of protection provided is exceptional and equivalent to API SB performance.
