How would you eat achappam? One ring at a time or bite into it any which way?
Achappam, a favourite Christmas snack, are made of rice flour, egg and coconut milk. Subtly sweet and incredibly crisp, they are great with steaming cups of tea.
Achappam ('achu' meaning mould and 'appam' meaning food made with flour) is a deep fried rose cookie made with rice flour. It is a signature Syrian Christian food believed to come from Dutch influence.
The name rosettbakkels comes from Norwegian. Rosettes are crispy and typified by their lacy pattern. Rosettes are traditionally made during Christmas time. Rosette recipes are popular in the United States among families with Scandinavian ancestry.

NAMASKARAM,
“Kerala Restaurant” in Rua do sol a chelas 76, ,Lisbon Provides you Traditional Food from Kerala through our Chef Vijeesh Rajan (Owner and Chef Of KERALA RESTAURANT). He is also from Kerala and he is specialize in Traditional Kerala Food. Same time we Kerala Restaurant Share our Kerala Culture. South Indian cuisine is the term used to represent those dishes originating from the four southern states of India – Andra Pradesh Karnataka, Kerala and Tamilnadu. What started off as a unique dream of offering delicious dishes to nourish the body, mind, and soul, turned into a family business named in 'Kerala Restaurant' where we offer some of the finest South Indian cuisines and spreading our culture. It is our humble attempt to introduce a variety of authentic dishes especially light and simple authentic curries from the land of coconuts now known as 'God's own Country'.
The cuisine of Kerala, a state in the south of India, is linked to its history, geography, demography and culture. Kerala cuisine offers a multitude of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes prepared using fish, poultry and red meat with rice a typical accompaniment. Chillies, curry leaves, coconut, mustard seeds, turmeric, tamarind, and asafoetida are all frequently used. Kerala is known as the "Land of Spices" because it traded spices with Europe as well as with many ancient civilizations with the oldest historical records of the Sumerians from 3000 BCE.
Kerala's long coastline, numerous rivers and backwater networks, and strong fishing industry have contributed to many sea and river food-based dishes. Rice and cassava form the staple food of Kerala. The main dish for lunch and dinner is boiled rice. For over 2000 years, Kerala has been visited by ocean-goers, including traders from Greece, Rome, the eastern Mediterranean, Arab countries, and Europe. Thus, Kerala cuisine is a blend of indigenous dishes and foreign dishes adapted to Kerala tastes. In addition to historical diversity, the cultural influences, particularly the large percentages of Muslims and Syrian Christians have also contributed unique dishes and styles to Kerala cuisine, especially non-vegetarian dishes.
