Luís Antero - paisagista, documentarista e arquivista sonoro - desenvolve desde 2008 um trabalho de recolha e documentação do património acústico de várias zonas do território nacional com base em gravações sonoras de campo.

“Estas Ruas Têm Voz II” leva-nos de volta às ruas do Arco e do Arrabalde, ao Largo da Feira e à zona envolvente do rio Pavia, 6 anos depois da primeira apresentação de “Estas Ruas Têm Voz”.
Esta instalação sonora/concerto desafia-nos a refletir sobre os sons do presente, as dinâmicas sonoras do quotidiano e o movimento perpétuo dos sons que refletem e espelham artisticamente as identidades sociais desta zona da cidade de Viseu.
O que se alterou acusticamente? Quais as alterações sociais que esta zona sofreu desde 2014 aquando da primeira apresentação?

Esta instalação sonora/concerto foi produzida em tempo real para 5 pessoas, de cada vez, interligadas por auscultadores e apresentada no festival multidisciplinar Jardins Efémeros 2021, Viseu, Portugal.

Luís Antero - soundscape artist and archivist - has been developing since 2008 a project of collecting and documenting the immaterial sound heritage of several areas of Portugal through field recordings.

“Estas Ruas Têm Voz II” (These Streets Have a Voice II) takes us back to the streets of Arco and Arrabaldo, to Largo da Feira and to the surrounding area of the Pavia river, 6 years after the first presentation of “Estas Ruas Têm Voz”.
This sound installation/concert challenges us to reflect on the sounds of the present moment, the sound dynamics of everyday life and the perpetual movement of sounds that mirror the social identities of these locations in the city of Viseu through artistic manners.
What has acoustically changed? What social changes has this area undergone since 2014, when the first presentation took place?

This sound installation/concert was produced in real-time for 5 people at a time connected through linked headphones and presented at the multidisciplinary festival Jardins Efémeros 2021, Viseu, Portugal.

"The guide left us in the Forest after we walked almost 2 hours on the muddy trail.
We couldn't imagine how big the Lake was when we arrived. The curved trees on the shore were hiding it.
A wood canoe was waiting for us.
And then the Lake... huge with a million trees surrounding it, a million monkeys jumping them,
a million birds singing above in the almost clear blue sky...
Alligators jumping to the water, millions of life just happening around the Lake, on the Lake!
We arrived at the shelter... big and blue butterflies crossing our astonished souls...
inside was the silence ready to be broken,
the machines were prepared to be tuned to the ambient sound coming from outside...
the sound of the Jungle."

Of Apex And Arcs is a sonic study about typography. Imagine each stroke of a pioneer typeface designer converted into sounds (colour) or silences (white space). Waveforms working as graphic sonars and patched like a modern typographic system.

Music is time and place, shifting forward, sound after sound, the spinal groove of beats and oscillations. Music as chapters and appendixes, sound as narrative and stillness.

Then comes radio, time and place are now teleported as an emission, otherworldly expectations arise. Sound design and music as the artistic side of the radio broadcast. Art through antennas, a vapour gallery, sensory electronics as a medium to a new audio experience.

Television themes, rhythmic moods and bleeping soundtracks through tiny loudspeakers. Everyone wired and amplified. Sounds at the speed of light run side by side with electrical pylons, sun beams and starlights.
Radio waves as a platform for dark dreams and haunted film scores.

"Ear Travelling Program is Centeio, co-founder of Prisma Sonora Records and also member of Stellarays, based in North Portugal.

For this debut album he was inspired by the early Jacques-Yves Cousteau’s films. There is a post-Cousteau undersea consciousness. He has chosen the perfect medium to show the unknown and mysterious seabed, TV as a diving saucer. Common people finally had the chance to shift their eyes towards coral reefs and instantly increase their knowledge."
