When I think of an artist, I think of someone who has an idea about the world. It's someone who looks at the natural world and somehow translates that through the medium of their choice. When you translate what you see, you are starting to create your own language about the world around you. And the interesting thing about this idea, it's not just any idea: it has to be meaningful.
I am always hoping to find and create artwork that's interesting, that has perspective, layers, substance in it's essence. To me this is the beauty about art.
