Bárbara García
Spain

Bárbara García is an interdisciplinary artist trained in Fine Arts and Artistic Jewelry.
She aims to create jewelry pieces based on conceptual games, always related to socially committed topics.
Moving amongst dualities and contradictions, her work’s main goal is to draw attention to those topics – usually through the materials the pieces are built with, messages they contain or their location on the body- to encourage their wearers and viewers to discuss and reflect on those issues, feeling them as close to themselves as only a jewel can be.
Making of jewelry a seed for social commitment and activism.

The Netherlands

I work with materials lost to the purpose they once served.
Adrift in the world, on the ocean shores, by the side of the road, in nature, I find and collect.
Materials like letters fallen from words, dropped out of speech. I give them a new voice. They are my palette to create new stories. These stories are yours and mine, made from our traces.
You won't always recognize the traces for they have become jewels. Wearable art objects to adorn. We meet in these stories, my art jewelry. Wear them on your heart and consider, this story is yours.

Lidia Puica
Republic of Moldova / Romania

My jewellery is often associated with wearable textile sculptures that have an organic appearance, inspired by personal experiences and feelings. The technique has gradually evolved from freeform crochet to a combination where crochet is used as a base, which I cover with pieces of natural or artificial leather, thus moving in the direction of sustainability. Paradoxically, by refining the technique, I achieve perfectly imperfect shapes, and their appearance suggests a combination of mosaic and kintsugi.

Kamilė Stanelienė
Lithuania

My artistic journey is characterized by two distinct approaches to creation. The first is an intuitive process where I make jewelry without adhering to a predetermined idea. In this method, I draw spontaneous inspiration from the myriad forms found in nature.
The second approach is more concept-driven. Here, I immerse myself in a specific idea, problem, or narrative before deciding on the visual representation of the piece. My work may appear eclectic as I tackle various themes that resonate with me at different times. This diversity reflects my desire to address what is meaningful to me in the moment and to draw the viewer's attention to these aspects.

Juan Harnie
Belgium

Juan Harnie is a 31-year old jewellery designer/maker and collector from Hasselt, Belgium. He studied architectural and interior arts in Brussels but the scale of the things he had to design troubled him. He liked to work on a small scale and where the smallest detail had a big influence on the piece. This is why he studied jewellery design at the MAD-faculty in Hasselt, Belgium where he could do his bachelors and masters degree. The use of materials, which aren’t normally associated with jewellery, is what fascinates him most.

Isabella Perillo
Brazil

I am a jewelry artist with roots in Brazil’s Midwest currently residing in Lisbon, Portugal. I was born in Goiânia, Goiás, in 1991, graduating in Law from FAAP (São Paulo, 2011/2015). Besides practicing law (2016/2017), I also co-founded the Tremma fair (2017- 2023).
My creative journey began in 2020 when I enrolled in the Fashion and Creation Postgraduate course at FASM (São Paulo, 2020/2022). After graduating, I started my jewelry education at Espaço Mix School (São Paulo, 2022), where I learned traditional goldsmith techniques. Currently, I am pursuing further studies in Contemporary Jewelry and Jewelry Techniques at Ar.Co (Lisbon, 2022 to present) and at Algures (2023 to present). My work was shown in the following exhibitions "Embrace Your Fear” (Espaço Mix, 2022), "Autumn Exhibition 2023" (Ar.Co, 2023), "Processes: Essays on Contemporary Jewelry" (Galeria Alice Floriano, 2023), "Geléia Geral" (FRESS, 2024), part of the 2nd Lisbon Contemporary Jewellery Biennial, and “Summer Exhibition 2024" (Ar.Co, 2024).

Carmen López
Spain

Making a brief statement that contains all the emotion that making jewelry represents for me is very complicated. I have been an artist for as long as I can remember, although I find it difficult to define myself as such. There is one element that has helped me do this, the spoon, as a recurring and constant symbol in my work. What a spoon carries can rarely be punctured, it is liquid or soft and transports that element into our body.
I refer to the beginning of Richard Jones' poem that begins like this: "Some days I think that in life I need nothing but a spoon..."

“Este projecto começou em 2003, durante a guerra no Iraque, tendo-me inspirado na tipologia da chapa de identificação que os militares Portugueses usaram durante a guerra colonial (1961-74).
Nesta chapa, constava o nome e número mecanográfico do militar, repetidos simetricamente e dividida ao meio por um picotado de forma a poder-se partir, no caso de morte, metade ficava com o corpo, em que muitas vezes era colocada na boca e a outra ficava nos registos militares.
Neste projecto, é utilizada a simbologia desta chapa, para escrever frases sobre os acontecimentos que nos rodeiam, como guerra, liberdade ou falta desta, obsessões, política, globalização, etc, surgindo mensagens opostas, trocadilhos, brincadeiras e palavras de ordem, que funcionam como um conjunto ou colecção de numismática, em que o cliente pode escolher uma ou mais chapas para serem usadas numa corrente ou numa fita.” Teresa Milheiro

“This project started in 2003, during the Iraq war, inspired by the identification tag, that Portuguese soldiers wore during the colonial war (1961-74).
This tag, contained the name and the soldier mechanographic number, repeated symmetrically and divided in half, by a perforation so that it could be broken, in case of death, half remained with the body, which was often placed in the mouth and the other remained in the military records.
In this project, the tag symbolism is used to write thoughts related to the events that surround us, such as war, freedom or lack of it, obsessions, politics, globalization, etc., giving rise to opposing messages, puns, serious jokes and keywords... which work as a numismatic set or collection, in which the client can choose one or more tags to be used on a chain or ribbon.” Teresa Milheiro

Evgenia Elanic
Russia / Georgia

Evgenia is a 26 yo jewelry designer. She received education in Moscow and emigrated to Georgia after the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022. In 2024 she founded an international jewelers community to help artists from post-Soviet dictatorships showcase and promote their work.
"As an artist I focus on digging into humanity's relationship with itself and the universe, fascinated by peculiar concepts that emerge in human mind. I often use lightweight openwork structures and contrast of natural and architectural forms — a depiction of humanity's everlasting urge to understand and conquer the chaos it is a part of."

Andrea Serini
Argentina

In my work, each piece tells a story, inviting the viewer to complete the narrative through their fantasies. Materials also play an important role, as I recognize their potential to transmit, contain and transport meaning.
I believe that jewelry accentuates or complements the verbal and non-verbal communication of the human body. The body speaks, communicates, announces, describes, predicts.
The destiny of a ring will perhaps be to accompany the hand in the tender gesture of a caress. I always imagine a brooch listening to the resistance of life, the inaudible heartbeat that hides nearby, behind.

Faye Hall
United Kingdom

Faye Hall works across textiles and wearable objects, developing her textiles practice to also include the creation of colourful, playful and tactile wearable objects. Influenced and guided by her drawing practice, Faye generates unique pieces of playful jewellery that explore form, colour and materiality through textile processes.
As well as investigating this intrinsic dialogue between colour and shape, her work is anchored to exploring the relationships between contrasts; soft, warm textile against the coldness of precious metal, the texture of a heavily embellished surface against smooth wood, or the use of negative space to interact with external colours and textures.

Elin Flognman
Sweden

I work in my own studio in Trollhättan, Sweden. My work focus on everyday life and what we see so often it becomes invisible. The potato is a way of expressing myself and connecting people to each other. I have a material manifesto that declares my materials to be the ones I find in my surroundings.
Freedom for me is to be able to express one self through art. Key ingredients to make art is time and space. Like the potato that needs space to be planted in and time to grow new potatoes. This is my definition of freedom.

I tell a story about becoming yourself with interactive installations of which the results can be seen on my Instagram account ReadyForFakeOff. I hope to create awareness about our pigeonholing and merciless judgmental thinking. With the aim of making the world a little more beautiful. When people are not hindered by rules that they are imposed on or impose on themselves, we can live together through human connection.
I am convinced that if everyone could be themselves, the world would look very different. It could become a world where we stand next to each other instead of opposite each other.

Jewelry is, for me, the best means of self-expression. I am fascinated by how a piece of jewelry can make statements, express feelings, and start dialogues without words. My work often reflects on issues that concern me, especially individualism versus collective responsibility, the concept of value, the complexities of female existence, and the interplay between freedom and boundaries. I aim to provoke thought and discussion, using humor and irony to present my ideas, and strive to create pieces that challenge. I am deeply inspired by the simplest activities of everyday life and the inimitably perfect forms of nature.

Mexico / Argentina

Reviving damaged instruments that have fallen into oblivion to give them a new chance, after having been part of a life cycle, is my goal.
Using keys made of ivory and ebony from an ancient piano generates a profound conflict within me. I cannot forget that the origin of this raw material is the felling and indiscriminate hunting of our species for the production of luxurious objects for human use.
I aim to reflect this delicate space between life and death.
Giving voice to extinct species has been my driving force to continue the search for expression through these pieces.

J.P.Vellaco
Brazil

João Pedro Vellaco is a jeweller with a degree in Product Design from Cândido Mendes University (UCAM 2018). In 2013, he met Atelier Mourão (Ipanema - Rio de Janeiro), which added to his professional and personal development. In 2016, he was invited by Paula Mourão to be her assistant, then teacher and coordinator of the Atelier, and has been responsible to date for organising courses, workshops and exhibitions, such as: "Broches" (2018), "Ruptures" (2019), and "Open Doors at Atelier Mourão".
At the same time, he continues on his path, developing his own work based on his knowledge of design and jewellery, taking part in exhibitions such as "Contemporary Brazilian Jewellery | Reflection Necklaces" (2018), "Waters - Orbe Group" (2019), "Pluralities | Brazil x Finland" (2020), "Rio 40o | Beauty and Fear" (2021).

Galit Barak
Israel

Galit Barak is a jewelry designer who has founded contemporary jewelry brands and currently designs commercial collections. Barak is a teaching fellow at the Jewelry Design Department at Shenkar College.
In her work, Barak explores political narratives and critical approaches in jewelry, sculpture, and protest work. She is researching and creating a body of work dealing with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the Israel-Gaza war, encompassing both recent and historical events.
For the Tincal lab Challenge 2024 on Jewelry and Freedom, she is creating pieces that draw connections between Portugal’s April Revolution and Israel's current events, including messianic judicial reform on the verge of dictatorship.

Hungary

“Brigitta B. Horváth is a member of the generation of metalworking object designers that bridges the gap between traditional metalworking and object design in contemporary applied art. She possesses two approaches and technical skills: she is still familiar with and applies the craft of craftsmanship, while at the same time she is already adapting and using the contemporary results of technological innovation.
The keywords for Brigitta B. Horváth's artistic vision are: organic; her spirituality: metaphysical; her creative method: minimalist. She realises these qualities in her individually created objects by means of the technique of metalworking.” Márton Keppel, art historian.

Eugènia Arnavat
Spain

Born in Rocafort de Queralt, Tarragona, Spain. Lives and works in Tarragona.
Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona. Gemology and Diamond Specialty at the University of Barcelona. Graduated in Applied Arts and Artistic Crafts, specializing in Goldsmithing at the EASD Tarragona, where she is currently a jewelry workshop teacher.
She has received various jewelry awards in Spain. Selected at the Enjoia't Awards 2023, in Barcelona. Individual and collective exhibitions in different Spanish cities, Andorra and Basel (Swiss). She has participated in The Transparent Breath, in The Venice Glass Week (2023).

Constanza Nolé | FRUTO®
Argentina

Constanza Nolé, born on December 26th of 1980, has always shown an interest in creative and detailed activities. She studied economics at UNC but left the program to pursue her true passion. She graduated with honors in Industrial Design from Universidad Siglo 21. In 2012, she joined the Contemporary Jewelry Workshop directed by Cecilia Richard, where she found the opportunity to explore her passion, combining design knowledge and materials with jewelry-making techniques. Currently, she leads her project, FRUTO®, aiming to expand the meaningful horizon of jewelry and the evocative capacity of materials.
