This is the recommendation but remember everyone is different and so is each pregnancy so this number will vary from person to person.

This week marked 2 years in my breastfeeding Journey.
🍼This post is not about me preaching as I truly believe we should support each other regardless if it’s breast or bottle.
I just wanted to share my experience as I never thought I would still be here after 2 years!
My Journey like most mothers has been a huge rollercoaster, I’ve had mastitis twice, wanted to constantly give up the majority of the time and whilst I have enjoyed certain parts and the beautiful connection we have, I’ve spent most of it crying to be honest.
I’m not usually one to cry a lot either but there is just so much demand and pressure that no one really talks about or tells you. Im not looking for sympathy as I’m well aware I chose to breastfeed but more for a shout out to other mothers that are finding it difficult but still carry on for those small moments we get🤱🏽
This phrase is thrown around a lot and as nice as it might be some days to eat double the amount, it is in fact a complete myth.
We actually don’t need any additional calories until our last trimester where we will need to increase by 200 extra per day.
After pregnancy if you breastfeed you will need an extra 500 per day.
Warning signs your body is telling you to stop!
If you experience any of these symptoms stop exercising sit and drink water and check in with your Dr💗💜
