USANEC-Qatar recently conducted Battlefield Circulations in Jordan and Bahrain. This visit provided the opportunity for Titan 6 and 7 to spend time with the Team, assess morale, and address any concerns. Additionally, they visited tenant units and several sites across the region. The dedication and exemplary performance of the Team at these outstations were highly commendable, reflecting their commitment to excellence in all operations. Keep up the great work Titans!

This morning, the War Lions took part in Battalion Physical Training (PT), led by SFC Longnecker, which included a circuit of five different stations, with each exercise lasting one minute, for a total of three rounds. The workout concluded with a relay race. After the PT session, LTC Sidre and CSM Burns, held a huddle to address the formation and listen to the Soldiers' thoughts. This was also a great opportunity for the new Command Team to interact directly with the Soldiers, as the demands of work often limit our face-to-face interactions. Great morning overall!

Award Presentation for CSM Plante and…

Change of Responsibility for outgoing BN CSM Randall, Plante and incoming BN CSM David, Burns.

On Friday, June 28th, CSM Plante and CH Tate joined forces to host CSM PT and a Spiritual Fitness Event; “Angels vs. Demons”.

This was a partner event barbell workout that consisted of 10 stations of 100 reps at each station. The War Lions faced trials that tested their grit, endurance, and teamwork, ultimately discovering the power of collaboration.

At the end of the workout, CH Tate led the spiritual fitness session by offering a prayer and a message to the War Lions about the importance of partnership. They learned that two is better than one, as having a helping hand made all the difference in balancing each other's strengths and weaknesses. When one struggled, the other provided support, ensuring that they could overcome obstacles together. This workout underscored the importance of working with a partner and pushing through the pain, reminding them that while pain is temporary, the bonds and resilience they built were lasting.

Sadly, this was CSM Plante’s last CSM PT as the 25th SSB CSM. Thank you, CSM Plante, for your rigorous PT sessions that consistently challenged us to become better. Your training not only enhanced our individual capabilities but also strengthened our ability to work cohesively as a team. Your dedication and leadership inspired us to push our limits and achieve excellence together. CSM PT will not be the same without you!

On this Memorial Day, CH Tate hosted his Spiritual Fitness Event: The Murph Challenge.

“The Murph Challenge is not just a physical test, but also a mental and emotional one. Participants are pushed to their limits and are encouraged to keep pushing through the pain and exhaustion, just as Lieutenant Murphy did during his final moments. The event is held annually on Memorial Day, and people from all over the world come together to honor Lieutenant Murphy and all those who have given their lives in service to our country. The Murph Challenge is a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by our military and a testament to the strength and resilience of the human spirit.”

The War Lions volunteered to take on The Murph and pushed through to the best of their abilities, while remembering those no longer with us.

The 25th SSB implemented a five-day leadership course designed by the NCOs at Al Udeid Air Force Base (AUAB), Qatar, to ensure all leaders across the formation are competent and capable to meet the warfighter needs in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility.

The five-day course was created to challenge the mental and physical capacity of each leader to minimize the stimulation of the amygdala (fight-or-flight) reaction and enable controlled emotions and cognitive thinking. Class 001-24 derived from Compo 1, 2, 3 with the following units: 25th Strategic Signal Battalion, 54th Signal Battalion, 160th Theater Signal Brigade, Special Operations Joint Task Force CENTCOM, 31st Air Defense Artillery Brigade, 101st Expeditionary Signal Battalion, 332nd United States Army Medical Material Command, and Information Warfare Task Force CENTCOM, consisting of 16 military occupation specialties amongst 31 Soldiers.

September is observed as Su***de Prevention Month, where the Army raises awareness and promotes resources to prevent death by su***de. This year’s theme, “You Are a Light in Somebody’s Life,” highlights the critical role relationships and interpersonal connections to family, friends and the community play in prevention.

On Yesterday, the Brigade Behavioral Health team, led by CPT Buchinski and CPT Usman, conducted a Su***de Prevention training for the War Lion Battalion. The training provided Soldiers with resources and techniques on how to recognize the warning signs and assist in these types of situations when needed.

War Lion Soldiers care! We all have a role to play in saving lives. 💙 Reach out, listen, and let’s support one another. ***dePrevention

Signal Corps Soldiers and Leaders are communicators by trade! Ensuring the 25th SSB team can provide world class communication to support the warfighter also includes perfecting communication within the War Lion family.

On Friday, August 18th, 2023, several members of the War Lion family had the opportunity to attend a Building Strong & Ready Teams (BSRT) event led by the Battalion Chaplain.

Chaplain Stokes provided training on Building Effective Communication. Soldiers and Leaders in attendance had the opportunity to take a personality assessment to help identify specifics on how our personality type contributes to our communication style.

The class also included a block of instruction on conflict resolution. Effective communication and conflict resolution are skills that all Service Members must continue to develop to be effective members of the team at every rank.

Thanks to Chaplain Stokes for hosting another outstanding even to build stronger, better communicators!

Promotions are a mark of dedicated and outstanding service in the Army! It’s also a call to greater trust and responsibility for ever Soldier that is promoted to the next highest rank.

Earlier this month our very own S3 OIC, promoted to the rank of Major. LTC Shepherd had the honor of administering the Oath of Office and pinning MAJ Gray, officially welcoming her to the Field Grade Officer ranks!

The selection process to become a Field Grade Officer is highly competitve and speaks to the Officer, Soldier, and Leader that MAJ Gray has been throughout her career!

Congratulations MAJ Gray!!
