Rares Burlacu, President of the Romanian Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade is leading a delegation of 25 Romanian companies during an official visit to Slovenia. Today, the president endorsed a meeting between the Romanian entrepreneurs and their Slovenian counterparts, as solid premises for establishing successful partnerships between the two business communities. High-value sectors such as IT&C, trade and manufacturing industries were amongst the key topics covered during discussions. An MoU was signed between the SPIRIT Slovenija, javna agencija and InvestRomania/ARICE, setting new grounds in fostering further development and growth.

The President of the Romanian Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade, Rares Burlacu, accompanied by the InvestRomania’s team received a mission of experts from the Secretariat of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, on assignment in Bucharest between December 12 and 14, 2023, in compliance with the Roadmap for Romania's accession to the OECD.

The mission is here to assess Romania's degree of compliance with the OECD principles and standards especially in regard to the RBC (Responsible Business Conduct) as the main focus and subsequently in the field of investment.
The Romanian Agency for Investments and Foreign Trade (ARICE) is the national institutional focal point for this specific OECD Working Group.

HVAC leader Groupe Atlantic set to open first plant in Romania following 60-million-euro investment Groupe Atlantic, one of the leaders of the HVAC (heating – ventilation – air conditioning) industry, will open a factory in Romania, in the PWP Bucharest North industrial park, in Prahova County. The company will invest 60 million euros in the new site.

Organizația Internațională a Francofoniei (OIF) lansează misiunea economică și comercială a francofoniei în Europa Centrală și de Est, în România. Evenimentul va avea loc la București, în perioada 27-29 martie 2024.

După trei prime ediții de succes în Asia de Sud-Est (Vietnam și Cambodgia), Africa Centrală (Gabon și Rwanda) și Orientul Mijlociu (Liban), misiunea organizată anul viitor în România face parte din Strategia Economică pentru francofonie 2020-2025 și urmărește intensificarea schimburilor comerciale și investiționale între cele 88 de state membre și guverne din Organizația Internațională a Francofoniei.

Misiunea reunește un forum economic la nivel înalt și sesiuni business-to-business, în special în sectorul agroalimentar, digital - inclusiv securitatea cibernetică și industria jocurilor video, energia verde și sectorul medical și include sprijin din partea experților, vizite la sediile companiilor, precum și identificarea și realizarea de oportunități comerciale și de investiții cu firme de profil asemănător sau complementar, din statele membre OIF.

Today, the Romanian Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade has hosted the Investment Panel, part of the 3SI, an event under the high patronage of the President of Romania. The panel has covered critical topics including untapped investment potential in Central and Eastern Europe, ensuring economic resilience, promoting sustainable growth through trade and FDI connectivity, enhancing at the same time the region's attractiveness for foreign investment and trade.
The discussions have also addressed the expansion of the Three Seas Initiative Investment Fund's influence and the strengthening ties among investment promotion agencies and business associations.
The President of the Romanian Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade - Rares Burlacu, together with other preeminent key-note speakers from international leading bodies like IMF, EIB, EIF and high officials from Poland, U.S, U.K , Ukraine and Georgia has tackled issues like potential investment opportunities in CEE amidst the new geopolitical and geo-economic context, building a more attractive and secure region for foreign investments or private capital and economic resilience.

Yesterday, 5th September, the President of the Romanian Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade, Rares Burlacu accompanied by the InvestRomania’s team attended the Diehl Controls Groundbreaking ceremony in Brasov county. Developing and producing electronic components and systems, the 40 mill EUR new plant is projected to generate 600 new jobs by 2027. The facility, being the third one to be set up aside Germany and Poland, will strengthen the company presence on the European market.
“Working alongside InvestRomania, made the decision process more straightforward”, said Josef Fellner, CFO Diehl Controls.
