Today, we have an unusual discussion with Razvan Barsan, the CEO of our architecture firm, Razvan Barsan + Partners. Although Razvan wears many hats within the office, we've decided to explore a lesser-known aspect of his life: his passion for MOUNTAINS and how it influences his PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES.

With a wide smile on his face, Razvan Barsan began to share: "I am an ADVENTURER, and this is clearly reflected in how I spend my free time. Whether it's mountains, sea, or sky, each escape is a way to live life to the fullest. These passions stem from a deep need to discover myself through nature. I want to feel the air, earth, waters, and forests with my own eyes, hands, feet, and senses."

My curiosity led me to ask how he manages to connect these experiences with his professional life. Razvan responded with a fascinating analogy: "In BUSINESS, just like in the MOUNTAINS, we face CHALLENGES that force us to uncover hidden resources. Life sometimes puts us in tough situations, and that's when we surface and reach a higher level of our abilities. The effort to climb every centimeter, even in difficult conditions, elevates us and expands our endurance."

This analogy prompted me to ask another question: "Would you say that the MOUNTAINS offer valuable LESSONS for PROFESSIONAL LIFE?" Razvan answered decisively: "Absolutely. When you climb mountains, you don't just rise in altitude, but also physically and spiritually. You face the cold, thirst, hunger, wind, and ultimately, you discover yourself. These experiences are essential both in architecture and in business. They make you more creative, vigilant, and stronger."

Our discussion then turned towards the team and the role they play in these aspects. Razvan said: "The PEOPLE you share these moments with are more important than the destination or the journey itself. Wherever we go, it's essential to be surrounded by like-minded, great people. All beautiful and great things have a team behind them. Beyond the plan and strategy, the most important thing in any journey or project is the TEAM that puts everything into motion."

I concluded the discussion by asking about the importance of collaboration for the success of a project. Razvan confirmed: "Exactly. Most of the time, only the peaks are visible, but the people behind them are just as important. People, nature, yourself, and your mission are the elements that make us FEEL ALIVE and fulfilled. We must live with courage and passion."

This conversation was not just an insight into Razvan's life but also a lesson on how passion, teamwork, and nature can positively influence both personal life and professional career.

Today, in the episode of series, we are talking to our colleague, Delia Munteanu. Within our office, Delia is an interior designer and CG artist. Between us, Delia is the person who, by her presence, balances any discussion or object placed against the rules of . 👩🏻‍🎨

When it comes to her work, Delia tells us about the importance of treating each project as a unique journey, where the client is the hero ready to step into a new chapter of their life. The designer’s role in this story is to help the client create a functional space that reflects their personality, a place called “home”. As for the recipe for her success, Delia points out that there is no successful project without 100% total dedication.

Why did she choose to join the RBP team? Delia mentioned the common values ​​shared with the team. It’s unlikely that someone will become a part of your morning talks or the projects you’re working on if you’re not close regarding values. People here are passionate about their work, they are creative, they are brave and they approach every project from the position of “I want to create useful and beautiful places for people”. ✨🤍

A thought from Delia? “Big things depend on small things done very well.” Just as a harmonious interior design is made up of many small pieces put in a balance, so every day is made up of many simple and small things. The more we are caught up in multiple projects, personal or professional, the more we tend to rush through them. But we should do it so that simple and small things are important because they dominate our lives. Harmony means being able to see and feel the beauty in most of the things that happen to us every day, no matter how small they may be.😌

Today, in our series, we have a conversation with our colleague Liviu Elisei. If you've known us from the beginning, you surely know Liviu as well. He's an RBP veteran, architect, concept designer, and render artist. 😎

Liviu's experience as an architect is nearing its 20th anniversary, with years filled with diverse projects of all sizes and categories. If we were to list them, we would cover almost the entire spectrum of an architect’s work: residential complexes, airports, hotels, sports arenas, office buildings, and many more.

Regarding his work, Liviu says he views architecture as a way to improve everyone's life. From enclosed spaces that bring a cozy home feeling and connect us with nature, to designs that offer a street art gallery of facades, with a range of constructions from ancient to futuristic that make time travel possible. "I appreciate and support original designs that have a balanced ratio between beauty and functionality."

What does he like most about RB+P? The team's mindset. People here evolve daily, surpass themselves, enjoy laughter, have architectural discussions that spark divergences, and support each other. It's the best combination you could wish to have at work.

A thought from Liviu: Liviu talks about the importance of having a lively curiosity about what you do. "Do things for people, with passion and curiosity. Curiosity combined with exploration is an absolutely essential element for each of us. The moment you stop evolving, you start dying." 💭😌

The goal of the project was to create an organic, sustainable, and multi-functional complex that harmonizes with the environment. The architecture considers the local context and characteristics. Its proportions and geometric forms naturally merge with the surrounding terrain, repeating and emphasizing the contours of the local landscape.

In today's episode of the series, we’re talking with our colleague Alex Cosma. At our office, Alex is an architect, CG artist, and rendering specialist. 😎

Alex graduated from UAUIM with a degree in architecture. Throughout his career, Alex has worked on a variety of projects, from architecture to interior design, which has given him a profound understanding of the direction he wants to pursue. Currently, Alex's objective is to support the RBP team in project development through high-quality, photorealistic renderings. He believes that a passion for his work and for people are the keys to success for any architect or rendering specialist.

When it comes to finding inspiration and creativity in rendering, Alex shares his formula: movies, video games and theater or concert setups. We can attest that this formula works – his creative potential knows no limits. 🤪

Why did he choose to join the RBP team? He found the forward-thinking mindset he was seeking for and with which he resonates. Additionally, he was attracted to the free-spirited and bold nature of his colleagues, both professionally and personally. Indeed, all our team members carry a bit of adrenaline in their hearts. 🪂

A thought from Alex: To build our relationship with the future, we must have a strong relationship with the present. For example, when we aim to construct something, it will undoubtedly and inevitably impact people and the surrounding area, as a built object could last 100 years. Therefore, act consciously and responsibly, and ensure the impact is positive. 😌✌🏼

Inspired by the color blue, one of our ongoing projects for 2024 is the Central District Lagoon City in Bucharest. 🩵

It is a high-rise, mixed-use development that will be the most complex building in the region. The project includes residential apartments, apart-hotels, a 5-star branded hotel, several brand shops, offices, co-working spaces, and a lagoon. Lagoon City, a large mixed-use development in Bucharest, will feature a 13,000 sqm turquoise lagoon at its center and 7,000 sqm of white sand beaches exclusively for its inhabitants.
