The perfect summer event dress

When you find a small fabric sample left at the local fabric shop you buy it and transform it into a two piece🌈

One of my proudest creations up to date is this awesome corset bodice from the old american McCalls pattern butterbick B4669.
Can be worn without undergarments and is very comfortable 🥰
Although many pattern adjustments had to be made to fit a curvier torso, lengthen it and make it fully close in the front.

Hand crocheted mohair legwarmers are the solution to one of my biggest pet peeves: short leggings 😤
There is little I dislike more than freezing my ankles off because no pair of leggings I find is long enough to reach my shoes properly.

Thoroughly enjoyed wearing these over my leggings in the November cold, I was nice and warm ❤️
The 80's dance teacher look from the photos are purely for show, in reality I ended up wearing these with running shoes.

My continuation into mastering PANTS ✨
These are my first men's trousers out of a lightweight soft wool combining a formal waistband and a looser, more casual fit on the legs.

Made this harness with my leather leftover bought from a leftovers box in London 😅
The hardware is also from my personal stash from old leather items.

Keeping up with the baby blue theme, had some leftover from the deadstock knit fabric of the previous dress so I made a top as well 💙💙

A custom tote bag for my piano teacher 🎹
It's made entirely out of scrap fabric and it is two sided: one side with an abstract piano motif and the other one with a line drawing of a photograph I took of her playing a custom piano sculpture!

Dabbling in leather work a bit with this water bottle holder becase I hate wearing shoulder bags and I feel like they can cause more pain on your back than anything hanging from your waist.

This will be great whenever I have to walk around a lot since it allows me to keep my hands free!

A n**e lace dress from a deadstock bolt of fabric, with my first ever bodice block drafted onto myself. It was so cool learning how some weird little pieces of paper fit together to make a pattern that matches your body so perfectly.

Can be worn on its own or, my favourite, with a corset ✨

My first ever commission was this piano themed backpack for my music teacher, specially made to match airplane travel dimensions.
It's so nice to be able to add a little bit of personality into a normally mundane object with those stylized piano keys 🎹

And now I get why bags are so so expensive, especially handmade ones since this one took a week to make!

A pinafore 🌼 finally my favourite type of dress, even better with a detachable bib so I can only wear the skirt if I feel like it 😊
It's quite warm since it's made of a light wool so it will be great for the colder months.

A handmade corduroy bag from a thrifted jacket, remanants of the straps I had from my previous tote bag and some recycled hardware from and old laptop bag ♻️.

Making bags with no structure and a zipper is haaard, but learned a lot for my next try 😊

My first go at making a tote bag ☺️ fully lined and everything from scrap fabric I already had.

Little did I known this simple piece would end up being my favourite bag for a year now.

Nonetheless, never add side pockets directly on a seamless panel 😭 mistakes were made.

The second skirt attempt made with a stretch knit and elastic waistband features my very first petticoat!
Adds a very cute detail and makes it much easier to walk in 😅

My first ever maxi skirt that's way warmer than any pair of pants I've tried wearing during the colder months.
Filled with mistakes but this is only the beginning 😅.
