With LEDAS's 25th anniversary approaching, we surveyed our employees to find out what in their early years contributed most to their development as future great professionals.

LEDAS reported revenue for 2023: the largest sales in EU (41%) followed by North America (36%) and East Asia (18%).

The most profitable sectors are 3D engine development (29%) and Building Information Modeling (24%). They are followed by Digital Medicine (22%) and CAD/CAM (computer-aided design/manufacturing) at 19%.
New projects for 2023 are in the areas of digital healthcare, ICS (industrial control systems), 3D web/cloud, PDM (product data management).

LEDAS Geometry Comparison is a high-performance system for detecting geometric differences between 3D models. Until now it had only been marketed to and licensed by the CAD market, but PLM is also an obvious market for it.

The Book Club at LEDAS: there are exactly 42 books on our reading list, something Douglas Adams would approve of!

Just as it is hard to clap with one hand, it's hard to develop mathematical algorithms only by reading technical articles. And so despite the fact that we regularly read and write about C++ and CAD (for instance, about constraint solvers and plugins), we have regular book club meetings at our company at which we read fiction and non-fiction.

Perhaps one day we'll make a list of our favorite technical books on designing complex and reliable systems and must-read articles on mathematical algorithms, but for today we'd like to share a list of the books that we have discussed over the years:

LEDAS recently opened a new office in the metropolitan area of Tel Aviv. Our history of working with Israeli companies started in 2004 when our very first license of the LGS constraint solver was made with Proficiency.
This July, we signed an agreement with a new Israeli customer in the field of digital medicine, a sector which has become one of the top-grossing ones for LEDAS.
Opening the office in Israel is the next move in our strategy to become more globally distributed company. Read more on our web site.

We’ve launched a German version of our site https://ledas.com/de/. Through it, we are making information about LEDAS services more visible to potential engineering, design, and manufacturing customers in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and other German-speaking countries. We admire the business culture of these countries, which aims to make projects really efficient. They contribute greatly to overall development of the global manufacturing industry.

Our biggest project in Germany was dedicated to machine tool trajectories (toolpath computation and optimization) and implementing postprocessors with a variety of manufacturing processes in a single, universal codebase. The software we developed supports both traditional subtractive CAM (removing materials) and additive manufacturing, such as 3D parts made with metal powders and laser beams.

Another project on which we worked with a German company used the ODA libraries to develop electrical CAD software. Much of this work focused on fast visualization of very large DWG files.
