Welcome to the AIESEC Tomsk international Fan Page! AIESEC is the World's largest student‐run or AIESEC organization represented in 27 cities of Russia.

In Tomsk AIESEC Local Committee was established in 2009 by students of International Faculty of Management at Tomsk State University. In 2010 we launced good and efficient relations with the Administration for Youth, Physical Education and Sports of Tomsk. Since that time we are the residents of the Youth House. Now we have more than 53 students from four universities in Tomsk, which run project

activities related to international internship program, as well as to organization of events for students. During 4 years LC Tomsk has developed a number of international social projects, such as «International Kindergarden», a project related to work in camps «SunShine», a project with orphan asylums «Sport & Health», a project with schools, universities and colleges callled "FLY" (Financial Literacy of Young), which was supported by the Sberbank of Russia. Also we realized such projects as "Explore Russia" (Google is the main partner on the AIESEC Russia level), that is aimed to improve the image of Russia and Tomsk abroad and inside the country, and IT literacy project, that is aimed to increase student's interest towards IT majors (Miscrosoft was the partner in spring and now AIESEC Russia partner is Rostelecom), because nowadays these majors are highly required on the labot market. Over last fouryears our incoming projects have involved more than 120 foreign students from many different countries: Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Turkey, India, China, Vietnam, Taiwan, Indonesia, Australia, Japan. We created the positive image of our country and the city among foreign youth, developed friendly relations and intercultural dialogue with the Russian youth. Regularly on the basis of the House of Youth we organize weeklyEnglish Speaking Clubs, in which all Tomsk citizens can participate. Students of Tomsk universities also have the opportunity to take part in social projects in other countries to gain experience in an international team, learn how to organize volunteer movement abroad. More than 110 students taught English, organized events for children with cancer, promote healthy lifestyles, fought for women rights in countries such as Brazil, India, Turkey, Romania, Germany, Poland, Bosnia and Herzegovina , Bulgaria, China, Indonesia, Ukraine, Portugal, Serbia, Tunisia, Taiwan, Hungary, South Africa, Italy, Sri Lanka, Colombia. International Professional internships (GIP) allow Tomsk students to gain work experience in a company in another country and Tomsk companies to gain international experience inviting foreign specialists. 8 foreigh specialists have already worked in Tomsk companies such as IT, Marketing companies, language schools. Moreover, 36 Tomsk students went for GIP internship since 2009. Since 2011, we have oganized Forum for Young Leaders «YouLead» twice, which is a unique platform for interaction between young people of Tomsk with the business environment in order to obtain the skills and leadership development. For our partners every year we hold an annual report, where we present our results of work, and project plans and activities for the next year. The event format allows companies to expand their business contacts. Local Committee AIESEC in Tomsk is one of the most fast growing and most innovative chapters in AIESEC Russia, which has often been rewarded by national awards. So, welcome to AIESEC Tomsk!

Hi, everyone! AIESEC Tomsk international page resumes it's work again!

We want to start with letting you know more about the life of foreing interns in Tomsk.

Now we have 20 interns in Tomsk: 13 of them participate in Explore Russia project, 1 intern came for International Kindergarten project and others work in summer camps in Sunshine project.

This Saturday the most part of them took part in the city event called Sportsman's Day. It was raining heavily, but guys defenitely had fun there :)

Today we want to share with you some general events that happened in Tomsk. Last week was really interesting for people who wanted to know about “mystery Russian soul”.

On the 7th of May was radio holiday – “Radio Boom”. It is a day when Russian engineer Alexander Popov made one of the greatest human discoveries – radio. There is a Tomsk state university of control system and radioelectronics in Tomsk, students of this university go on Lenina street and go in columns along the city’s streets. And one of old tradition of this event it is the fact that students throw out TVs, computers, refrigerators and other kind of technical stuff. They make it like show because they throw it out from the 9th floor!!!

The most important day in the whole spring it is the 9th of May. It is the day of Great victory for Russia. It is a day when we remembered about died people during The Second World War. It is both sad and happy day at the same time. We say “thanks” to our grandfathers and grandmothers for this victory, for fact that we have future. Because if we had lost this War we couldn’t even birth, this War was about survival of Russia nation.

What do you know about Russia?

- Lake Baikal in Siberia is the deepest lake in the world. It would take all the rivers of the world - Volga, Don, Dnepr and Yenisei, Ural and Ob, Ganges and Orinoko, Amazon and Thames, Seine and Oder - nearly one year to fill lake Baikal's basin.
